Lena could feel her skin break into a clammy sweat during her walk to the victory party.
She had cleaned herself in the bathroom and rinsed several times with mouth wash, but she was still worked up from fooling around with her roommate.

Dance music drowned out their excited talk and Oliver tossed one of the A drinks at Kara.
“I can’t believe you guys pulled all of this off,” Kara stated in awe and cracked open her can to take a sip. She passed it off to Lena without making eye contact and helped herself to a pack of Skittles from the candy and snack pile.
“Yeah, well, here’s hoping we get the same treatment tonight,” Oliver laughed, and high-fived one of their teammates that shared his sentiments.

“Something sweet? I hope that doesn’t refer to me,” Lucy teased as she checked Lena out with a gaze that carried a whole lot of heat.

I can’t say I understand it, but I don’t need to, because it’s not my relationship. Kate is really sweet with Kit, and they seem happy.”
Lucy saw an opportunity to move their conversation in a certain direction. “On the subject of relationships, you’re not seeing anyone, are you?”
“Yes,” Kara blurted at the same time Lena spat out, “Nope.”
They looked at each other in panic, and Kara lifted a hand and snapped her fingers. “What about the omega from the first week of school? Aren’t you still dating?”

“Yeah, I’m definitely blessed that way,” Lena grunted and gently elbowed Eve in the hopes she would take a hint and stop smothering her.
She wished her friends would have come up with an excuse for them to leave, or at least step away from Kara and Lucy.
Winn and Eve were too preoccupied with ogling Kara to use any of their braincells, and Jess seemed to think she was witnessing a live social experiment.
“So, aren’t you going to introduce us to your hot team captain?” Winn shamelessly begged and fixed the collar on his polo shirt while ignoring Lucy’s presence.
“Oh. This is Kara Danvers.” Lena frowned, ever aware of how her friends were leering at Kara’s hot alpha bod. “She’s an amazing team captain. Without her, we would never have won today.”

Lena toasted one for herself while Winn and Eve joined them.
Barry came over a minute later with Jess by his side, and everyone’s naturally playful mood led to more than a few sticks clashing above the fire.
