Rewatching this episode and I'm sure you don't care in this moment but I saw you mention it a couple times before. Elena was actually 18 when she became a vampire but Stefan, Katherine, and Caroline were all 17 lol.

eh, that’s what he was insinuating tho. and even if he wasn’t, it simply isn’t true. he’s done bad things that had nothing to do with her. and even the “she taught me how to kill” thing isn’t true because 1) he’d already killed before he even met Katherine and 2) killing is in the nature of vampirism therefore you don’t have to be “taught” to kill. Also, I never mentioned Stefan so that’s irrelevant, but I agree — Katherine, like Damon, has agency, and the traumatic things that happened in her life doesn’t excuse the person she became. I will say though that I blame the writers for never showing the viewers why Damon became the way he is. Apart from the scenes set just a few days after he turned, every time we see past vampire Damon, he’s exactly the same as we meet him in season 1. But he obviously didn’t become like that overnight. It would’ve been nice to see cause he’s clearly a character with a lot of depth and internal struggles, but I don’t feel it was explored enough.

Kinda not really. It’s all hate on kath, and he didn’t blame her for the things he did he just said she’s linked to them which is fair. Also it’s no different than Stefan taking kathrines side just cause she was a poor shunned girl. Like..... no- she needs to take responsibility lmao

this might me my favorite 100th episode of any tv show (with the glee one) this was the perfect ending for katherine but i guess they had to mess it up..

What Stefan did for Katherine in her final moments was one of the sweetest things ever and that's why he's one of the best characters on this show.

This is my favourite episode of season 5 solely cause of the Klaroline scene. As for Rebekah and Matt, her tastes are so off??? The absolute specimen she had on The Originals makes Matt look like one of the seven dwarves.

Damon blaming Katherine for all the bad things he did was so annoying. Everything he did before finding out Katherine wasn't in the tomb was all on him. Take some accountabilty.

Recall that there is no switch, passengers simply share the same body as their host. When Matt had that guy in him, he was still himself for majority of the time until a Traveler brings them forward.

I love the Matt rant. I agree, if you plan to have a human in the midst of supernatural beings, they have to be interesting. Even Jeremy before he became a hunter was more interesting.
