Seriously? You finally do a "what exactly does this do?" With Pikachu, a Pokémon that they spend the entire series chasing, and that's what you do? And this is the episode you do it in? Not going to lie, I'm disappointed.

so clearly Bugsy evolved his MetaPod from a caterpie so that’s how it knew tackle, because otherwise it would have just known Harden.

Um, Suede, there's a bit of a SNAFU in this when it comes up with the stuff you said about Bugsy and pronouns. Mainly that it's inaccurate. The Bulbapedia article doesn't mention pronouns. The gender mark is used to select which dialogue pool to sample from when randomly choosing the opponent's dialogue. This is also in the English version, but this odd thing of the game marking Bugsy and Will as female in this array is only in Crystal. As for the jokes about them being gender fluid or non-binary... yeah, I'd have to run that by my NB friends on whether it would be offensive or not. It seems a little iffy to refer to a character who identifies as male with a somewhat feminine appearance as NB or gender fluid. But then again, I'm no expert on this subject.
