I forget Heracross is a fighting type all the time XD Maybe it has something to do with how rare it is to run into one in the games, and when I do I avoid using psychic types.

I probably didn't bring this across well as some others have also brought this up, so I'll add a line in the YT version but Ash said he didn't have any fighting pokemon. He didn't say "with me at the moment", he said it as an absolute. He also could have easily swapped out for heracross for one episode as he has done previously. So nyah. XP

Suede, an important thing you seemed to forget Heracross wasn't here. It was at Oak's. Granted, the writers also seemed to forget that the ep where Ash got Krabby said he could just use that to swap out his party remotely years before Gen 8.

the second half wasn't that bad, its nice to see Pokemon going off and doing their own thing without their trainers, too bad some later episodes do the same but make me cringe
