The "Jessie" Timeline
🕑 Added 2025-05-31 09:59:33 +0000 UTCYou ever wonder what Jessie's backstory really was? And if it fit across the entire seres? Me neither, but then once I started I couldn't stop...!
Tried something a little different for once, fiddling with the different clips and graphics was hell on my ADHD so I hope you appreciate the effort! Two commentaries as usual after this, but next month I'm trying yet another schedule, so we'll see if it sticks better!

Miyamoto got lost and failed to capture Mew, but somehow succeeded in snatching a DNA piece for Dr Fuji to create Mewtwo. She was a strong and determined woman, no wonder she was the boss' favorite

Entirely plausible, especially of the three. We *do* have to at least take her *somewhat* at her word with the Chansey and bike gang parts, tho, as there *were* people directly there to corroborate her involvement.

Thanks for this one, Suede

Shaping the timeline like her hair, how dare you

I personally suspect Jessie makes up a good chunk of the stuff about her own past, so I'd take most of her cryptic anecdotes with a grain of salt.

Knowing that Pokémon and Digimon have audio dramas that didn’t make it out of Japan while 20 years later scripted podcasts boom for western audiences is just soooo frustrating that things couldn’t align well enough

It probably ties to the contest thing, since her expired pass was specifically a Hoenn one

All I'll say is there's definitely more to add in the future.

Great video! The editing in it was very nice and appealing. Also love to get a coherent timeline of one of my favorite Pokémon characters

this was fun

Only thing off the top of my head that you are missing is Jessie's off nostalgia for Littleroot Town. But that was never explained and only lasts for the episode, so it makes sense why it wasn't mentioned
