Just got back the vocoded lines for the big guy
🕑 Added 2023-02-14 22:40:33 +0000 UTCIt is beyond glorious. Don't know how he did it but during the test runs he nailed this vocoder by the 2nd try.
I would say it is definitely hard to make out on a first listen, but I think it's not at all harder to understand than an ordinal, wallhammer or APF vocoder on a first impression. Plus there will be subtitles for sure.

It's certainly leaning more toward the croakiness of the Ordinal which I'd say is the hardest to understand (for me at least) but was completely intentional and a guideline for applicants. One thing to also keep in mind is that the voice is not isolated here. The wind and leaf ambiance + music fills out the soundscape quite a bit.

Sounds great, although I think he is a tad bit harder to understand than the APF, Warhammer or cardinal. It appears that the new good boy's vocoder effect has additional stronger distortions than the ones the first three have.
