I was actually about to package and release the new mod at the beginning of the week, when it suddenly dawned on me that maybe there was a way to implement a first person camera for the game. (So yes, as some of you have already guessed, it is originally a third-person title.)
I hate last-minute ideas, because they inevitably bring crunch and a huge risk of failure and disappointment. Yet, there was zero chance that I could pass up on something that looked so promising. I decided to at least try to implement it, even if that meant delaying the release for some indeterminate (hopefully not too large) amount of time. Then the curiosity to actually see the game from the new perspective got the better of me, and I literally worked day and night, first to prove that it was actually possible, and after that to iron out all of the kinks. Well, most of them :-)
And now it's finished! One could say it's gone gold, in a sense. For this release, I'll be teaming up with Casandra of Cas and Chary VR, who will be doing a video (p)review on their YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe while you're at it, as the channel is frequently updated with lots of awesome content, and be ready for the release this Saturday! I sure hope that during our final playtesting tomorrow we don't find any showstopping issues, but with Cyberpunk 2077 already on the horizon, even if there are some minor problems I will release anyway and sort them out later. After all, that's what early access is for, isn't it? Though I tend to be a perfectionist who's never satisfied with the quality of his work, but there comes a moment when the baby just wants to be born.
VR Santa arrives early this year! I hope that you'll enjoy playing the game as much as I enjoyed modding it. Well, I actually hope that for you it will be a somewhat less stressful experience []-D

This was a big surprise and it is a alternative for me. Cyberpunk has to much questionable billboards and ads. Immoral explicit images. Until a mod removes that. Visually the lighting for hzd mod is the most realistic to actuality. Don't care if textures don't match cutscenes. Updates surely will improve.

Maybe the game is one of the MASS EFFECT games. Edit, scrap that. The "Zero", "dawned" and then "Horizon" in the text is the biggest clue ever. Still, Mass Effect trilogy in VR would be wonderful.

No worries - they have been phased out of production so i geuss they will become a bit of an oddity. It does not seem to work on double trigger either.

With a steam controller that does not seem to change the resolution for me? There is a thumbpad on the right and thumbstick on the left of the controller if I click those that doesnt seem to trigger the resolution switch

Yes! Since release 1.4.3 I made a little QOL improvement to the mod: when you're using resolutions higher than 2700x2700 and the sidemenu is cut off to the left (for instance when selecting fast travel destinations), press the Menu button on the gamepad to enter RDR2's pause menu. When the game is paused, just press both thumbsticks to have the mod automatically switch to 2700x2700 resolution, then press Menu again to return to the game. That will allow you to read the sidemenu and perform interactions correctly. When you're done with the sidemenu, just do the same thing again: press Menu, then both thumbsticks, then Menu. The mod will revert to your favorite resolution.

An advice, sometimes, just ride the horse slowly, if not, you'll miss many details the game has to offer, because NPCs (humans and animials) react to your noise. It's so nice to apreciate those details in VR.

Hmmm, if it is horizon zero D then those dodge rolls against certain enemy types will be quite jarring in VR. Will have to adopt more hit and run tactics and Stealth methinks.

Yea I played a bit on launch but held off so they could fix the police spawns etc but then heard about possible vr mod so held off and won't play non vr now I bet it looks beautiful in vr. Once next gen cards come maybe even rtx on in VR

I read the first line of this post, immediately clicked the download button for Cyberpunk.. I played that in flat mode for 4 hours and then deleted it, but I'd love to play it in VR. Then I read it's something else.. curioussss :)

I have the bladerunner mod on cyberpunk hopefully itl still work in vr. The blade runner mod only replaces the billboards around the city so should be ok. Vr and the blade runner mod will be a cyberpunk fans dream specialy if u love the film as much as me :)
