This story was written for the most recent $12 patron poll, with the winning prompt being "A CEO reveals to a corporate saboteur that her company has developed artificial halos - letting her turn them into her own personal angel". I think it's fair to say that this story evolved quite a bit from that initial idea - it's quite long, as you'll see - but I certainly do think that all its champions will be very, very satisfied. I'm really proud of some of the dialogue and strangeness in this one
All jokes aside, I am very grateful for everybody's patience. To be completely honest, while I'm over the moon with how it's been received, getting WARHOUND Volume One released was a bit of a nightmare, in terms of the learning curve and the difficulties involved. Trying (unwisely) to juggle all that along with writing has left me with quite a bit of a burnout, hence the recent, slow pace of things. The good news is that that's all in the rear view mirror now, and I can absolutely promise that you will get more than one story/chapter this month

GOD!! KALLIE YOU COOKED SO HARD ONCE AGAIN!!!! I'm awestruck, praise be ahaha. When I started reading a couple days ago I actually had to put the story down after the first 1.5 pages because of how struck I was by that whole vision? The endless spire of company floors, the real wood vantablack CEO suite of a self appointed god-- I really didn't know what to make of the prompt when I had read it, but you managed to fuse two things so disparate so naturally it feels like they always belonged together. The parallels between angels and corpo drones as both being a kind of hivemind...god. I love Lilix with the snake motif as like a nod to Lilith and the snake of Eden? And gosh yes thank the heavens she is fat, that is so good. Thinking of your more recent posts about your own body and your known penchant for serpents (and I remember you having black hair?), I do wonder if you caught a bit of my shameless tendency to self insert... :) The PROSE!!!! The way you describe the sermon forcing her tongue into a new shape. The way Kiki feels her soul tangibly, and it being touched... So awfully perfect. The way the narration becomes unreliable and corrupted and morphs like her soul does. It's so good. I love that last part of her even embraces it... This would have been a killer corruption story already. And then you keep going. Corrupting the corruption. Having Kiki buy into her transformation step by cruel step until we arrive at the final product. It's so hypnotic. I love the severance style employee handbook bible. THE HOLY CHANTS OF A -REAL- HEAVEN REPLACED BY AN AD JINGLE?! Kallie, I'm not joking, I felt actually sick. My horny part revolted at this enshrinement of capital. Reading this made me actually emphasize with Kiki viscerally. And then you climax into what felt like horrible tar black humor with the bitchbreaker sermon and a crown of holy pearls. You go to hell for this Kallie ♡♡♡♡♡♡ Seriously in disbelief how this shit comes out of you and onto the page and into so many girls' heads. Love this so much.

That was amazing! A part of me wants to see a follow-up in which something mars or nicks the logo on the halo, causing a reset to original scripture or, better yet, no scripture...
