A bit off topic, but when Yugopnik was talking about his Russian friends apologizing or making jokes about being “evil Russian” and telling them not to internalize this, it brought tears to my eyes a bit. As a Russian living in Europe who was struggling with guilt about my ancestry and hearing lots of passive aggressive comments, I needed to hear this. I am starting to deprogram (pun intended xD) this internalized self hatred and guilt and Yugo’s remark in this episode really helped to see that maybe I’m not a bad guy just because of my ancestry. Sorry for cheesy comment, wanted to say thanks. Love your work overall! :)
