Wait, did yugo reference jozin z bazin? (Yeah yeah, china will probably save us all, but this is more important!)

As an American, I have been followed and been talked to about my cars muffler.. when I took it into the shop to get it fixed the mechanic walked the full length of it with me showing me what great condition it was in… advised me not to change it out and all his cars were louder.

Robert

german here (i apologize), and not a lawyer, but afaik the tint-laws are so that enough light comes inside the car in dark environments (night, tunnels) to ensure the driver can see enough. Another commenter from Chicago said it's so that they can make eye contact with other drivers and pedestrians which would also make sense here

ari

Fire when ready.

Gabriela Reyes

Any mention of Pepe Mujica on future episodes?

broadfjord

Hey guys just a small quip about car windows tinting: while I can't speak for all localities, here in Chicago it is illegal to have your windows too dark since you cannot make eye contact with the driver. That is the main way pedestrians and people on bikes know that a driver sees them and won't kill them trying to cross the street.

The exciting of train!

Glazing so good we're all getting diabetes. BUT WAIT: Chinese scientists are already working and having first successes in curing that! Yes CURING, not just (fleecing you like a sheep and) treating, but outright curing it. Oh and Alzheimer's, Parkinson's... Continuing the proud proletarian tradition to eradicate one virus/pest/disease/epidemic after the other that started with the Soviets and polio + smallpox until we get rid of the most pathological condition to ever afflict humanity: SPACE... erm, i mean capitalism, sorry, streams crossed. Almost like the PRC/CPC plans ahead to have the healthiest pensioneers population on the whole dang planet with how they're investigating in medicine and care for the elderly!

The Tricontinental Institute's International editions of Wenhua Zongheng are marvelous resources for periodic updates on China from China for an international audience. They recently published an issue that deals with Socialist responses to ecological destruction caused by economic development. https://thetricontinental.org/wenhua-zongheng/

After what happened to Kobe in a regular piloted helicopter. I'd be a certain level of freaked out flying in a pilot less air taxi.

The only bad thing about China pilling is the democratic socialists using the Chinese model to attack Cuba. It's so insane

I think there is a lot to admire about China, but we really do need a consensus on what is most crucially important to criticize on an ideological level. China as admirable as it is as a socialist project took incredible risk by allowing economic legitimization of capital in their society (a form of revisionism). Market functions within the country can very much tip the balance of political power from the CPC to what is essentially China's version of the kulak class and kill the project. I understand the importance of undergoing the contradictions of capital to advance to socialism, but I heavily worry such contradictions may not be able to be resolved should the wealth concentrated around Chinese kulaks be used to leverage power over the party to maintain its existence. The NEP in the USSR had this very same risk with other pillars forming within the party to maintain the NEP despite Stalin's triumph and accension to power. How do we know China can weather that storm when the contradictions are arguably stronger than they were under the 1930's Soviet economy?

One day we'll see Hakim and Yugo's faces and we'll all just melt like the Nazis at the end of Last Crusade

Im an electrician and JT is correct. Power= Voltage Γ— Amperage so a higher voltage (or potential electrical difference) means if you want the same power you HAVE to use lower amperage (the amount of current flowing through a conductor)

Danny Boy

Omg is that Tim Curry? Oh that beautiful man. The antici....

Was listening to a pretty informative episode of American Prestige about the development of white liberalism....but then I saw the beautiful title "China Glaze" and I HAD to switch.
