Sneak Peek of "the big one"!

There's still a couple of checks I want to make but by and large this is the bulk of the soon to be live video of upcoming 2020 Kickstarters. I was sitting here thinking while setting up the script: "Why don't I share this with my Patrons for a bit of an early access view?" and I couldn't think of a reason not to :P
I wanted to also give you guys a quick update on me on a personal level. I've been fairly candid with you guys here about a few struggles recently and I just wanted to say that things are going great. There's nothing quite like the holiday spirit to get me jazzed up (I love Christmas time). Really though, I'm happy again with my home life, my work life, and on Youtube and it's a great feeling. I can tell you with almost certainty though that without you guys here I'm not sure I'd have continued with the channel.
While yes, of course the monetary support helps out. This is an expensive hobby and I still buy most of the board games I cover and all of the channel stuff. Next on the list is a new tripod, a second gorilla pod and a desk - I need one a few inches shorter length wise so I can move the couch in here and have my board games lining the entire wall behind me as I've run out of room and need another shelf...again.
In fact, those changes are what I'm waiting on right now to start filming the last milestone we hit where I show you what it takes to make a miniature painting video (and send the miniature out of course!)
Speaking of which, we're already 59% to the next milestone! This is a MASSIVE one as I really want to celebrate the momentum by sending out a few miniatures games to some of you - yeah, whole games! :D I figure I'll pick a few people out randomly and then just have you pick from a list.
Speaking of momentum - the channel is doing very well. I actually kind of regret how tied my emotions are with how well the channel is doing. I put in so much effort though that it just kind of hurts when stuff falls flat.
Heck, just earlier today (as I write this, so the 11th) I got a comment on my Zombicide Details video with someone saying that I didn't bother to do basic research (their own words).
Considering that was a 3rd video in a single week, a week where I'm putting in some extra time at my full time job as we just hit beta testing and are already architecting 2.0 of the project I'm involved with, and the fact that I started work on the video the hour I came home, ate dinner at my desk while I read through the entire campaign, watched the video, skimmed the rulebook and then wrote the script, recorded, captured images and edited those, picked some new music and then uploaded it - it was 2am when I was done.
It's just a huge bummer. It's so easy I think for people to not think of me as a person, or not realize that a 9 minute and 50 second video took hours to make. Heck, they probably didn't even realize that most channels would have padded out 10 more seconds to stick a 2nd ad in the video (10 minute minimum to insert ads) but I didn't bother because I didn't want padding.
I take pride in what I do and I take it seriously - and it's hugely rewarding when that's acknowledged.
Anyway, this perhaps turned into another rant - sorry about that! At least this time it wasn't about FFP or CMON :)
Alright, I gotta go finish this 2020 video ASAP and then move onto painting Fade - hopefully some early WIP shots next update for you guys!

- In January, there will be a 75mm resin miniatures collection series for upcoming Limbo: Eternal War models (more on that later in the video).
- Conan by Monolith will be getting some new content in a 2nd Kickstarter in January. Pirate Coan!
- Arena: The Contest by Dragori Games will be getting an expansion on February 4th called Tanares Adventures. Will include a new combat role, Commanders who come with Companions. The first revealed being the Beast Master.
- SHEOL toward the end of February.
- Sankokushin: Five Sacrifices miniature KS featuring some sculpts by CA himself of Limbo: Eternal War fame and potentially more. More on the board game itself later in the video.
- Wolfenstein The Board Game by Archon Studios. Core game is done and will delivery 2 weeks after the Kickstareter ends. Will have plastic injected corridors and hard plastic push-fit minis.
- Frosthaven - March Gloomhave sequel with 100+ new chapters and a new roster of 16 heroes.

Thanks Christoph! It's not even so much that the comment upset me (early on they used to but I do thankfully have a pretty thick skin now so it just irked me instead) - it's more just a general wish that A) I'll sometimes get info wrong. It happens more than I'd like of course (more than never) but I am only human, and B) that a 10 minute video can take me hours to do. Thankfully I personally default to happiness, so rarely does it ever get me down for long either way :D As for responding? Hours. All the time. I've just now with this new job started to fall behind and for the first time I'm not able to respond to everything, but I do read every single one still! What I will never do is do something generic. If someone who doesn't even know me took the time to say something to me it's the least I can do to respond personally back.
Thanks for sharing the comment "situation". I think I´m with you a little bit when you say that it gets to you when people say stuff like that. I´m a teacher and love what I´m doing but sometimes students or parents can be special and very unthankful or even trying to sabotage you despite your hard work. But as a youtuber it must be way worse when people can say what they want and stay anonymous and don´t think about the consequences for you. Please keep on doing what you do, as long as it makes you happy but don´t care about "every" comment that much. Have you thought about when you cannot keep on answering on all the comments on youtube? Must be exhausting trying to give all of them proper responses. How much time do you spend for this every day?

Haha I'll get right on that Brian ;) Ankh does indeed look cool! While I dogged CMON, it's because I want to see them do great because I generally like their games and my wife's favorite theme is Egyptian so... :P ISS Vanguard certainly has potential. I need to know more about it to properly get hyped so currently Unsettles is filling in that hype void :D Now, to go find some super cool garden gnomes....

Ankh and ISS Vanguard are definite buys for me. I’m hoping to curtail my KS purchasing in the new year so I was wondering if you could fill your content schedule with garden gnome coverage instead to help me out. Thanks and keep up the great, and sometimes thankless, hard work!

Thanks Fred :) Yeah for the most part it doesn't bother me and that comment that I mentioned certainly didn't like, destroy my mood or anything but it is sort of a bummer when people don't realize the effort that goes on behind the videos. Ah well :D
Excellent work and ignore the haters or toxic fans (and I admit sometimes I can be one of those :()! I hope Limbo actually gets a decent game mechanic to go with their amazing minis. Maybe they should partner with AR...
Would love to see you paint that Limbo figure but that would be a huge project in itself. I see lots of games that will be tough to avoid so I may as well relent. If I can stick to just 1 or 2 per month that would be a huge improvement from my 2019 shopping overkill. As for the misinformed (putting it lightly) comment you gotta wear your teflon suit and just try to help educate people. I know I've said (and likely still do say) things out of ignorance without even knowing and may be taken as malicious by those who know better. Look at those times as teachable moments and hope that next time they will have new perspectives before saying something so misinformed.
