Thanks!

Hey, you are absolutely right. I found the cause of the issue! Turns out Mojang has moved sound configurations to some files which were previously used by Vanilla RTX, this unexpected change has lead to some sounds not playing correctly! Unfortunately I wasn't aware of this issue in time with v1.21.90, but the next update will definitely address this issue (v1.21.100) -- Hang in there!

I've tried to see if it was other resource packs, but even with only the RTX pack, it's still not playing the ambience. The Nether ambience plays without the RTX pack, and even with any other pack, it's just this one. I've even tried uninstalling Minecraft and reinstalling it again to try and fix the problem, but that didn't work either. I really do think it's something to do with the pack.

CubeIR

That is unexpected, game's sound configurations or sound files aren't touched by Vanilla RTX in any way. Could potentially be an strange interaction when ray tracing is on or you might have another resource pack causing this (either local or forced from a server) I'll post an update if I find anything, even though I can not replicate it.

Samuel Lewis

Hey, I've noticed that whenever I have this pack on, the nether ambience doesn't play. It's not just the Experimental option, either, it's the pack itself. Did you know about this, or is it just me?

Stermano

Oh ok that sounds good

CubeIR

Indeed, it's a common question, and the answer is: There is no right one! It comes down to your personal preferences. Each one gives block surfaces a different look. If you need a direct comparison, there is one pinned in the Help channel on discord. You'll also find some info inside the FAQ section at minecraftrtx.net

Stermano

i know this might be an old question but which one out of the 2 downloads is the right one.

CubeIR

Hey, the bell is an entity-block, which is a block rendered as an entity, so like all other entities, this remains impossible for now.

Egor Novikov

pls add rtx texture to bell

David Sabrowsky

thx mate.

Romeo Rocca

thank you so much for this, for your attention to detail and for being as fast as possible
