No issues here other than some flooding near the rivers.
Rich Wielechowski
Wes, everyone safe in your part of the world, after the storms of the last few days?
Jonathon
Another great video! It's nice watching someone fix things like this rather than seeing it just get scrapped for something new.
CapnMac82
Wow, seeing your neighbor's fields strikes odd--all the corn in Central Texas is ready to harvest. Later this week, I'm down to Houston to see Beryl damage first hand.

In re: Billing, there's probably no "just" way to bill things like this. Especially since the cheddar-munchers are totally to blame. In an ideal world, MF would have provided Zirks to grease those shafts preemptively. The world, sadly, is not ideal.

That circular saw is screaming to be saved for use with an abrasive wheel or a diamond blade in concrete. perfect place to not use your good saw. I just bagged an ld50 loader (JD 3.164 diesel engine and sunstrand 22-2069 hydrostatic) after searching for a long time for a descent compact bucket tractor. Its old, its ugly, but it runs and drives and this video tells me I made the right decision!
David Yates
Did you have to wait for Mrs Wes to paint her toenails before helping unseize the pedal? 😁 That did not look like a fun job. Nice save on the old circ saw too! PS, Eric O posted a video recently where he drilled a small hole into a rusty screw and hammered a splined bit into it to remove it. I'm sure you know this trick but it was a novel solution for me.

Hello Wes.
Eric Corse
Kind of a PITA I wondered if were going to add zerks it should have come with them. That is a nice tractor.
Jeffrey Burdess
I had dentist flashbacks around 3 min in.
Watch Wes Work
Can't blame her!
Watch Wes Work
Yeah I have a Craftsman corded hammer drill that still works like a champ.
Watch Wes Work
Luckily just one.

I do have a set of JIS screw drivers. The SK drivers I use are supposedly "universal" and will work with JIS or Phillips. How well it works is up for debate.
Watch Wes Work
That stuff works for a while. Eventually they get used to it and come back.
Curtis Roberts
Mrs. Wes said F___ it and decided to leave town... LOL

Hi Wes, and thanks for the show! I hate rust and mice. Found I could drive off the rodents by using a cloth bag filled with paradichlorobenzene (not naptha) moth balls. Lasts about 6 mos depending on weather. Nice saw. I bought mine around 1978 or 79. Built three houses and two decks with it. Still runs great. Made by Diehl in NJ. Grease the bearings every 5 years or so. Also have the matching 1/2" corded drill. Craftsman used to have some good tools, priced right.
Doug Wray
Nice to see the missus bronco that tractor around! Yee haw!!

I love the "get my punch unstuck" game. Punch rmeoves pin but now punch is stuck. Use smaller punch to remove punch now that one is stuck. How many sizes down and how many blankety blank words must be used before punch is free? LOL
David
Betcha Wes knows about JIS but bet the fella working on stuff prior didn't.
Tor Sjøwall
I'm sure you know; the JIS head screws they use in Japan, and often in China, is almost, but not quite, the same as the Phillips screws in the US. Using a Phillips driver on a JIS screw seems to work, but the risk of stripping the head is real. Been there, done that etc etc.

Spent many years as a leader at Pico Blanco Boy Scout camp near Big Sur. One year the black flies were so bad (probably due to a really hot summer), that most the attendees were just covered with itchy welts. Fortunately it was really bad only that one year, but I still experience some light weight PTSD from the experience. Hope they disappear soon. My wife bought me the earlier 2 HP version of that saw back in the early 1980s. Still have/use it to this day. Planned on replacing it with a Skilsaw when it died, but it never did.
Christopher
Thanks for the great video!

Just had my wife’s Honda CRV rodent damage fixed for the tune of $2000+ . They ate the wiring to the passenger airbag. They actually ate right through the plastic fresh air box. This from a car that is inside a rodent free garage 90% of the time. I have hosed it down with mint oil, no idea if that will help deter them. F’ing rodents!

I'm feeling much better now!

My Dude, you have got to take care of your family and yourself first. YouTube can wait we will be here and feel better.

Violence is sometimes the answer. But it's not so bad as long as the blue bird of happiness is carrying on. "Pull the lever Kronk." It's Monday, my brain is all over the place. Thanks for the video.
Chris Freemesser
Wow, those mice really wrecked that tractor. Glad you were able to get it cleaned up! Ain't gonna lie...I'm loving those retro Sealtest milk crates in the background. Grew up drinking Sealtest milk but haven't seen their stuff around these parts in MANY years
Aaron Windsor
Mice are nothing but a problem. Great vid. Feel better soon!!
Watch Wes Work
Wow. That would be a fun project.
Adam McKnight
Feel better soon!
Terry Kasprzyk
I'm sure I put it back together wrong. I bet you can fix it. If you want it I can deliver it.
Watch Wes Work
Interesting. I think that's an old school transformer welder. I'd almost think something must be shorted on the primary side of the transformer.
Rich Wielechowski
Mice and salt two best rust causers ever created. Thanks for taking us along for the struggle.
Terry Kasprzyk
If you want a welder I have one. It's a lincoln sp250. Went somewhere I shouldn't have. As soon as you try to power it up it pops the breaker.
Stephen Meeks
Great work.

I’m glad you’re better. I watched your Ford 6.0 diesel last night again. Some Ford owners are proven to be glutens for punishment. “I Do Cars” tore one down a year later. I watched that last night too. I missed you. Welcome back.
Max Chaplin
Get well soon Wes 🤒.
Chris
I guess I’m the first person to watch
