Lanker

I mean with the whole referring to iVascars as "Clankers" and the endless list of colorful insults he's put forward towards Mikri for his mechanical nature, or the endless sexist insults he's put out against Sofia, this is just par for the course. It's obvious that we aren't supposed to like Preston as a narrator, but it does make this hard to read as a result.

“Corai wants us to be capable of more than them, but won’t even risk us being remotely equal to them with that pretty tech she has at her fingertips. Velke can do the wavey thing and open a portal. I should be able to as well.” I know this was supposed be Preston trying to paint Corai in a poor light, but I more so felt worried that he’s starting to go on a massive power trip. Preston’s hypocrisy is making my blood boil. He doubts and mistrusts nearly EVERY word out of Corai’s mouth, but trusts the Fakra blindly?!? Corai has also been nothing but straightforward and open, Preston admits so in this chapter! Just, ugh! The best I can call him is a major speciest. At worst, he’s a hopeless hypocrite!

Ooo. That brings back my question from like a couple chapters ago. Exactly *where* are they seeing “only humans” and why does that mean Humans brought about the end of the Elusians?

Kracker

Only Elysian bodies, huh? I wonder if any of Corai's group has considered that it might be other Elysians who will be responsible for the slaughter they envisioned so long ago?

DreamEnvoy

Hmm. It's smart for Corai to only give enough for the Fakra to work with the humans but not raise an army against the Elusians (even if they can't reach their levels of tech anyways). But I can't help but consider the possibility of the Fakra reverse engineering the vials and invading.
