Well, funnily enough those sword-streaks were the hard part, not the hair. Yay textures on beveled curves?

Our good friend bezier curves! This Thanksgiving I'm thankful they have bevel options you can assign materials to, phew. Keyframing the start/end points is a nice touch, too.
