Jaune's Pineapple Jam Chapter 26

Because there is no way Jaune Arc, the dunce, the weakest of Beacon, and her own eternal eyesore has managed to….has managed to….to kiss both Pyrrha Nikos and Blake Belladonna.
Just thinking about it still puts Weiss into shock. She could understand if it was only just Pyrrha. As strange as it was, it wasn’t a secret in their friend group that the Spartan held affections for the blonde Knight. But Blake too?! Introverted and book-loving Blake Belladonna?! No matter how you look at it, something strange is going on.
At first, Weiss thought that the dunce might have done something with his Semblance. Unintentional or not, unlocking Semblances are usually confusing affairs since most people never know how their Semblance will manifest. Schnees being the exception since they already know their family Semblance.
She thought that he might have accidentally brainwashed Blake or something. But even she isn’t stubborn or mean-spirited enough to hold on to that train of thought.
Dolt and persistently annoying he might be, Weiss Schnee has seen that Jaune Arc is not the type of person to coerce or force a woman like that.
Her second thought was that Jaune Arc is doing this to make her jealous and has resorted to asking both Pyrrha and Blake for help. That thought was promptly thrown out to the metaphorical garbage. She’s not delusional enough to think that both Pyrrha and Blake would agree to something like that.
Weiss was so absorbed in her own thoughts that she zoned out for most of Professor Port’s lecture. She only snapped back to reality when Professor Port reminded Team RWBY and Team JNPR of their detention with him.
“Team RWBY, Team JNPR, do meet me after classes today. We need to talk about the detention Professor Goodwitch assigned you.”
The announcement gets all of them to groan as she sees Team CRDL smirk at them. Detention with Professor Port? Kill her now. If the man’s boisterous regaling of his storied past is anything to go by, Weiss thinks detention with him would force them to reenact said stories or maybe even something worse.
Ugh. This is all Blake’s fault.
The thought is further compounded the moment they entered Doctor Oobleck’s History class.
“Mr. Arc, Ms. Schnee. Please don’t forget to submit your reports to me about the origin of the White Fang and reactions of the Kingdoms to the aftermath of the Faunus Rights Revolution tomorrow. Now take your seats and let’s tackle something mo–....” Doctor Oobleck starts and continues rapidly as both Jaune and Weiss stand frozen near the doorway while their peers continue to their seats.
It takes her an embarrassing amount of time to realize that Doctor Oobleck was referring to the time she and Jaune debated against each other last week during their History class.
The result of that debate was an assignment for the both of them to determine the victor at a later time. The later time being tomorrow completely flew by her mind because of the debacle with Blake and the White Fang during the weekend.
While Weiss Schnee is not in the habit of blaming others for the hardships she goes through in life, this is one such moment she is perfectly willing to make an exception. They were so caught up with Blake and the White Fang that they forgot about their academics!
That’s not to say that Weiss would rather have left Blake alone, but couldn’t she have picked a better time to run away? There’s a reason Weiss came to Beacon and it wasn’t to waste away her life. It was to prove to herself and maybe her father that she could achieve things without relying on him.
The best way to do that is to become a huntress of great renown and she could only achieve that by being the very best. Neglecting her academics is detrimental to that goal and now she has to procrastinate just to be able to submit her report on time.
Sighing exasperatedly to herself, she turns to shoot Blake a look but she sees her already mouthing the word “sorry” apologetically in her direction.
She turns her eyes to where Blake is looking and promptly locks eyes with blue cerulean eyes. Before she knows it, she’s blurting out the first word that comes to mind which is influenced by her earlier thoughts.
“Pervert.”
Jaune freezes and his eyes widen at her sudden outburst. Not that Weiss could blame him because she herself is shocked that she would suddenly blurt out something so crass.
Still, what’s done is done. As a Schnee, all she could do is push past it and strive for grace and elegance as she walks forward to her seat.
“What was that about?” Yang asks with a raised eyebrow once Weiss arrives at her seat.
“Nothing. It was just the dolt.” Weiss sighs back.
“Huh? What about me?” Ruby asks confusedly as she is busy playing with her scroll.
“Not you, Ruby. The other dolt.” Weiss rolls her eyes exasperatedly at her exasperated leader.
“Jaune? What about him?” Ruby asks back
In response, Weiss only looks at her leader with a deadpan stare.
Really, Ruby? You really don’t think there’s something about him you need to think about? Like the fact that last week he was chasing me and now he’s kissing other girls? Don’t you think that’s strange?
Is what Weiss wants to say, but she still has tact. She’s hardly the type to blurt out something scandalous like that out in public inside their classroom where any prying ears could hear them.
With Ruby failing to realize that though, Weiss opts to just change the topic to something more important than understanding Jaune Arc. Their academics.
“Nothing. Just his usual doltishness, now put your scroll away. It’s time for class.”
“Uhh..I don’t know about you, Weiss. But Jaune hasn’t been doing his usual business.”
Oh now you want to talk about his strangeness?
“Besides, weren’t you listening to him earlier? Jaune said that he thinks we could use our scrolls to record Doctor Oobleck’s lecture then watch it later at half speed.” Ruby continues, unaware of the shock she has given Weiss.
Was she really so absent-minded that she would miss a conversation like that? A conversation that includes a way to listen to class better than ever before?
It’s a well-known fact that Doctor Oobleck speaks at a rapid pace that is hard to follow. To learn that there is a way to translate the gibberish he says into something coherent is shocking as it is. But to learn that the idea came from Jaune Arc of all people? Weiss thinks that’s just unfair.
Jaune here, Jaune there, Jaune Arc everywhere! It seems like even when Weiss herself tries to turn the topic away from him, his presence just won’t leave her in peace! Something must have shown in her face because her partner is now looking at her with concern.
“Weiss, are you okay?” Ruby whispers as Doctor Oobleck starts his lecture.
Unwilling to show herself being affected by the blonde knight, Weiss gathers every single ounce of political and business skills she has accumulated over the years.She takes a deep breath and assumes her best poker face to prevent Ruby from seeing past her thoughts.
“I am perfectly fine, Ruby.” Weiss Schnee answers with diplomacy and grace befitting an Atlesian Noblewoman of old.
“Yeah, pull the other one. You look like you’re trying not to poop too hard.” Ruby Rose, barbaric reaper of Vale destroys any poise she has with those words alone.
“I DO NOT!” She snaps back, standing up in indignation before she could even catch herself.
“Do not what, Ms Schnee?” Doctor Oobleck looks at her. In fact, their whole class is now turning towards her. Her face burns at the humiliation she has landed herself in.
Again, Weiss Schnee is not in the habit of blaming others for her own misfortune, but this one would be another exception for today. Ruby at least looks apologetic enough to know she is partly at fault.
Rushing to find an appropriate reply to their teacher, her eyes land on something incorrigible to her mind. Pyrrha Nikos and Jaune Arc, holding hands under the table in front of her. While their actions might be hidden to everyone else, she has a view from her vantage point elevated behind them.
“I do not understand.” Weiss blurts out, still looking at the linked hands absently.
“Ah! If that’s the case then allow me to backtrack on our lesson. You see-...” Doctor Oobleck continues, unaware of his student’s own internal conflict.
Sitting back down on her chair, Weiss thinks she should be ashamed that she admitted not having understood something in public. But right now her mind is occupied by one sight only. Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos holding hands under the table and smiling like lovestruck teeangers.
It wasn’t that long ago that Jaune Arc was just a lovestruck boy in love with her beauty and name. She couldn’t fault him for that of course. After all, many boys from Atlas fell for her with the same reasons as the Arc did. Still, to see him suddenly be happy with the affections of another irks Weiss for a strange reason.
Why? Why do you look so happy when you’re not pursuing me?
Her traitorous thoughts jolt her out of her reverie. Realizing the direction where her mind is going, Weiss Schnee rapidly shakes the thoughts out of her head.
Stop. Don’t think like that, Weiss. That way lies madness. You’re better than that. You should…You should…You shouldn’t fall for his trap!
Suddenly, her earlier thoughts of Jaune doing this to make her jealous and focus on him makes a lot of sense! Sitting between Blake and Pyrrha during breakfast while they face each other? Holding hands with Pyrrha under the table in front of her where she can see them? All actions designed to capture her attention!
Weiss is no stranger to juvenile tactics like these. After all, the boys back at Atlas frequently employed such methods in order to garner her attention. Blood-sucking, gold-digging leeches they might be, but they were certainly persistent in trying to tie themselves to the Schnee name through her.
It only took this long to recognize what Jaune Arc was doing, because in her defense she never thought that a Vale country bumpkin like him would even know something like this!
How devious! I never expected this out of you, Jaune Arc, but you will not have me, you fiend! Weiss chuckles internally
The dolt may have thought himself clever doing something like this but Weiss Schnee has developed the perfect countermeasures for situations such as this. It boils down to ignoring them and showing that she does not care one bit about their happiness.
Though in this case, Weiss thinks that Jaune Arc deserves more than just her apathy. Oh no, surely Weiss could do better than just a cold dismissal of the knight. After all, she’s already done that numerous times and he only came back more persistent. No, this time she needs something more than apathy.
Glaring at the blonde knight’s head in front of her, Weiss Schnee already knows what to do. Instead of apathy, she would push him along.
She would show him that she was genuinely happy for him. She would congratulate him and egg him on. Making him commit even more to his plan and eventually make him forget about being a general nuisance to her.
That should teach him a lesson on not to mess with a Schnee. She thinks as she grits her teeth in determination.
Though there’s a prick of annoyance at the thought of making Jaune commit to this farce for real, surely it is only because of the effort she would expend to teach him a lesson. That’s the only reason and nothing else.
After all, this time she would be the one to initiate contact with him. Something she has never done before. This requires proper finesse and planning. As she schemes on how she’s going to approach Jaune Arc, she doesn’t notice that her strange behavior has been noted by her teammates.
“What’s wrong with her? Is she gonna be okay?” Blake whispers to Yang as they both look worriedly at Weiss.
“I don’t know. It’s probably that time of the month?” Yang answers back unsurely.
“Ah.”
No more words are needed after that to understand each other. They can only be patient with Weiss in this trying time. They just hope that nothing bad happens judging by the glare and somewhat unhinged smile she’s starting to direct in front of her.

“Is it just me or did the room just get colder?” Jaune Arc shivers as he tries to keep his scroll steadily aimed at Doctor Oobleck.
“Hmmm? You can use my hand to warm up, you know?” Pyrrha whispers coyly from beside him as she starts rubbing his thigh.
Jaune just chuckles nervously at that as a tight feeling grows below his waist..
While they both agreed to keep their relationship status secret from the public, it seems Pyrrha can’t restrain herself from being affectionate with Jaune.
He doesn’t know what he expected about interacting with Pyrrha in public but his girlfriend being this affectionate even in class surprises him.
In response to the previous question, Jaune opts to change the topic before Pyrrha escalates this into something he can’t hold back from. Sooner or later, he won’t just use her hand to warm hand if she keeps this up.
Holding her hand to stop it from rubbing him, he opens up a topic that will surely cool her down.
“Do you think I should talk to Weiss?” Jaune asks his girlfriend.
As expected, Pyrrha frowns at him.
“Why do you want to talk to her?” She replies with a pout worriedly.
He understands her worry, really. Wanting to talk to the woman you professed your love to multiple times only to be rejected again and again? He knows what that could look like. For all she knows he might still hold a torch for her. But really, right now he just wants to explain himself and clear the air between the both of them.
If the situation was reversed he would have the same doubts she has, but ultimately he would trust her just as he knows Pyrrha would trust him now.
“Come on, Pyrrha. It’s not like that. I just want to clear the air between us.” Jaune comforts her.
“....If you’re sure that's all you want to do then yes. Perhaps you should talk to her.” Pyrrha sighs resignedly, knowing that he’s really dedicated to doing this.
“I’m sure. I already have you, remember?” Jaune pats her hand and gives her a reassuring smile.
“Yes, and Blake as well. Don’t forget her, alright?” Pyrrha smiles back, giving him a knowing look.
“...Ahh. Yeah, Blake too.” Jaune replies bashfully, prompting Pyrrha to give him a reassuring smile of his own.
In his defense, Jaune hasn’t talked to Blake about any of this just yet. It's not like he doesn’t like Blake. It’s just that this relationship came out of nowhere like a Nevermore sweeping in for the kill.
He’s thankful that Pyrrha is being very accommodating to all of this. It’s certainly helpful in avoiding the drama that could have happened.
Still, as a man, Jaune Arc doesn’t want to worry either Blake or Pyrrha so he’d have to have a talk with the both of them about this. But that’s a problem for another time. He needs to explain things to Weiss first before he gets called a pervert…or degenerate…or even something else.
He could still remember her calling him out earlier and suffice to say being called a pervert out of nowhere shocked him. Who knows what she’d call him next.
“Jaune?”
If anyone asks Jaune Arc what happened right after Doctor Oobleck’s class ended that day, he would tell them that he did not shriek in shock as Weiss Schnee called him from behind.
He would tell everyone that he calmly turned around, gave her a confident smile, and said the words “Hello, Weiss. How can I help you?” with a steady and mature voice. Anyone who tells otherwise is a filthy liar.
Weiss’ own stunned reaction was proof of his impressive bearing, not of something like fright or shock on his part. That’s his story and he would stick with it. Pyrrha would surely back him up after she’s done glaring at Weiss, right? Right?!
Shaking his thoughts away to get his head back on the game, Jaune repeats the question to the girl he just wanted to talk to earlier.
“So…How can I help you?”
“Ah…Yes. I wanted to ask if I could have a moment of your time?”
Now if Jaune was surprised by Weiss seeking him out, his reaction is nothing to that of his girlfriend.
“...And why do you want a moment of his time?” Pyrrha says coldly, narrowing her eyes at Weiss.
Sensing the growing tension, Jaune puts his hands up between them and reminds Pyrrha of what they just talked about.
“Pyrrha, it's okay. I wanted to talk to her too, remember?”
The pout she gave him would have destroyed a weaker man. But Jaune Arc had the dubious honor of being brother to seven sisters who routinely used their wiles to order him around.
Suffice to say that while Pyrrha’s pout did indeed do some damage, it was nothing he couldn't handle. Though he’d probably have to give something to Pyrrha to get her out of her bad mood.
“Why don’t you go with everyone first? I promise to talk to you and Blake later.” Jaune offers, thinking that he could have that talk with them after finishing here with Weiss.
There’s a point where her annoyance was visible and Jaune feared that he’d already be in the doghouse less than two days after they just got together. Luckily, she takes a deep breath and gives Jaune a look.
“Do you promise to talk to me and Blake later?” She says softly, looking at him with half-lidded eyes.
Jaune gulps at her words and expression. He doesn’t know what her body language is saying right now but it's enough to get him scared and aroused at the same time. Jaune Arc was currently scaroused.
“I..I promise. Arc’s word.” He replies with a dry throat and wide eyes.
“Good. I’ll hold you to it.” Pyrrha replies sultrily, abruptly intensifying the tension Jaune was unknowingly feeling.
Ahh…maybe not that kind of talk just yet?
“Haha, yeah.” He chuckles nervously as Pyrrha suddenly walks past him, brushing his hand with hers slowly.
As Pyrrha moves to herd the rest of their team and Team RWBY who are trying to listen in from outside, she gives one last look to Jaune and a meaningful one to Weiss before going out of sight.
With the two of them waiting for everyone else to leave, Jaune and Weiss just stare into each other.
It’s strange. Jaune thinks to himself as he takes note of Weiss’ own eyes locking into his.
Weiss Schnee really is beautiful with her pale skin, sharp, aristocratic features, and unique white hair. Her scar on her left eye just adds character to her whole being making her even more eye-catching. Yet despite her beauty, Jaune is aware of his own current thoughts.
It really is strange. Usually my heart would already be racing by now, but right now I just want this to be over.
Seeing that they are alone as they could be right now, Jaune opts to start the conversation first to alleviate any awkwardness.
“Jau-”
“Wei-”
They both speak at the same time. Welp, more awkwardness achieved. The Jaune of before would have recently thought something like this to be romantic, but right now he thinks he has no time for this. He needs to clear things up between them before Weiss has a chance to call him a pervert again or something.
“”I’m sorry.””
They speak at the same time again. This time Jaune opts to take a pause to let Weiss speak first. Seeing that they are even pausing at the same time he falls back to manners taught to him by his parents. Ladies first.
“”You go first””
Again! They speak at the same time again! This time it’s enough for his eye to twitch in annoyance. Movement from the other side shows him that even Weiss is twitching at the same time. If Jaune didn’t know any better he’d think that Weiss was deliberately doing this but there is no way anyone could achieve this level of synchronicity with each other deliberately.
Tired of this farce, Jaune closes his eyes and resorts to bulldoze his way through the conversation.
“I’m sorry for everything I did to annoy you before. Especially the not getting the hint part and generally ruining your days.” He says, if he had his eyes open he’d see the Weiss’ scarred eye is currently twitching in annoyance.
Just saying sorry won’t be enough of course. He needs to lay it all out honestly and completely so they won’t have misunderstandings between them anymore. He would hate to have any lingering ill feelings with Weiss and who knows, they might even become friends in the future because of this.
“Jau-” Weiss starts only to be interrupted again.
“No, no. I want to say I’m sorry first. You’re confident, beautiful, smart. You always look like you know what you’re doing and that made me pay attention to you. When I heard you and Ruby trying to talk about cute boys back at Initiation and you pointed to me I thought you kinda liked me too.” Jaune chuckles nervously while rubbing the back of his head at that as Weiss only looks on silently.
“I’m sorry for being stupid about it and not getting the hint. I should have realized from the start that you weren’t actually playing hard to get. I want you to know….I want you to know that you’re an amazing and wonderful person and I would love to be friends with you. I’m sorry it took this long to realize things. Would you forgive me?” Jaune finishes, awkwardly raising his hand for a handshake.
Jaune sees the emotions flit through Weiss’ face by the furrow of her brows as she processes what he just said to her. He doesn’t blame her for the confusion since he knows that his whole speech came out of nowhere. He just hopes that she won’t leave him hanging awkwardly with his arm raised.
“What about Blake and Pyrrha?” She asks confusedly.
The question actually makes Jaune blush. He could hardly say that he just woke up in bed with the two beautiful women. Instead, he moves his hand to rub the back of his head again and says the truth in a certain kind of way.
“Uhh…well, I had to see the signs with Pyrrha eventually, right? And I thought….why not?”
Weiss raises an eyebrow at his vague answer.
“What about Blake then?” She asks, crossing her arms in the process.
Jaune winces at the question because he himself doesn't know what happened with Blake other than they slept together after drinking. He really needs to get to have that talk with her to clarify things.
“Blake…just kinda happened?” He answers unsurely in reply to Weiss’ question.
Weiss only stands silent, staring at him through hooded eyes. Jaune understands that from her perspective what he did was suspicious. From her perspective, it looked like he stopped pursuing her to chase after other women like a playboy….which kinda did happen in a sense even if it was by complete accident.
Still, he’d still want a friendly relationship with her, hence the current conversation. Seeing Weiss stay silent as his vague non-answer, Jaune changes the topic into something he’s curious about before this.
“Soo…yeah that. Anyway, what did you want to talk to me about?” He asks, curious about why she wanted to talk to him in the first place.
Weiss takes a moment before she answers Jaune. Reminded of the reason why she approached the knight in the first place, she straightens her uniform and looks him in the eye.
“...Congratulations.” She says with a polite tone after a small pause.
Out of all the reasons Jaune’s imagination cooked up to answer his own question, congratulations was the last word he expected.
“Excuse me?” He asks in surprise.
“You are excused. I just wanted to congratulate you on your….relationships. That is all.” She says politely before walking out to follow their friends to lunch.
“Oh..uhh.Thanks.” He replies hurriedly.
Shocked at the surprising turn of events, Jaune takes a moment before he manages to get out of his stupor.
Remembering the congratulations Weiss just gave him, Jaune feels optimistic for the future. He thinks one last thought before following the snow angel with a smile on his face.
Huh. That went better than I thought.

Beneath the smile on her face during lunch break, Weiss Schnee nurtures the cold grudge of an offended Atlesian noblewoman. For the first time in her short life, Weiss Schnee feels like she’s been made a fool of by a boy.
Friends? Friends?! Has he no shame?!
This is the first time in her life that a boy had the audacity to label them as friends right after trying to court her. As if it wasn’t enough that Jaune Arc did that just a day after kissing two women!
How dare he flaunt his relationships in front of me?! It just kinda happened?! Ha! What a lie!
Weiss thinks to herself, completely forgetting the fact that it was her who brought up the topic of Blake and Pyrrha.
But her encounter with Jaune Arc gave Weiss Schnee more than feelings of irritation and annoyance. It gave her an important realization! Jaune Arc was still aiming to pursue her!
Why else would he actively push for them to have friendly relations when he already has Blake and Pyrrha? Purely for friendship? Don’t make her laugh! The boy…no, the scoundrel wants to add her to his harem!
Weiss must have been too hard of a catch at first so the fiend went for Pyrrha and Blake first before attempting to pursue her again after getting some experience! It’s all making sense now!
At first she thought that he connived with the two women in order to make her jealous, but she should have known better. No proper woman would agree to do something like that just for the benefit of one man.
Weiss Schnee wouldn’t, so why would she think Pyrrha Nikos and Blake Belladonna would do it willingly? Nay, what most likely happened is Jaune Arc pressured the both of them and is currently in the process of seducing them completely!
The first time she met Pyrrha Nikos, Weiss had already thought that the champion was too accommodating and nice for a person of her reputation.
Perhaps it was her experience fending off piranhas of the Atlesian elite that makes her call Pyrrha soft, but it has been proven time and time again in their friend group that Pyrrha would rather follow the flow than stand her ground.
It gave her the impression that as strong as the Spartan is, she can easily be pressured using the right approach.
And as partners, Jaune Arc had the perfect reason to get to know her better and apply the correct method in order to force Pyrrha to do something she wouldn’t usually do.
As for Blake, her secret about her past with the White Fang is enough as blackmail material. Something nefarious must have happened when Jaune got her drunk back at that party they went to. If there wasn’t anything suspicious going on then Blake would be free to ask for their help in unshackling her from the Arc.
It’s all making sense now!
He attempted to court Weiss Schnee first, someone famous, beautiful, and the known heiress of the SDC. When his attempts failed, the fiend switched targets to another famous and beautiful person. The Pride of Mistral, Pyrrha Nikos! And when Blake Belladonna outed herself as a Faunus and the child of the Chief of Menagerie, she also became a target!
The rascal aims to surround himself with strong, beautiful, powerful, and influential women!
Weiss Schnee shudders at Jaune Arc’s ambition, daring, and cunning! Her decision to confront him earlier was the right choice. Even if she didn’t achieve her goal of stopping him from being a nuisance to her, she at least managed to uncover his nefarious plot!
He must’ve been overconfident after ensnaring Pyrrha and Blake, because he blundered by showing his interest too blatantly! But the most terrifying thing is it would’ve worked if she wasn’t Weiss Schnee!
If she wasn’t exposed to backstabbing, greedy, little businessmen and children of said businessmen from a young age, then the Arc’s hidden agenda would have completely flown over her head! She would’ve believed that he genuinely wanted to only be friends with her!
Glaring at the back of his head while they walk to their next class, she hatches plans in order to expose him for the villain he is. She would need proof of his evil deeds, of course, but Weiss Schnee already knows that those would be hard to get.
After all, credit where credit is due, the man managed to fool her for this long. She would need to be patient, she would need to be smart, and most importantly she would need to get close to know his secrets.
She shivers at the implication that she would have to let him think that his plan is working. That they are really becoming friends. That..That...his seduction is working. The thought almost makes her puke.
She could only take comfort in the fact that despite going with the flow, it doesn’t mean she can’t hamper him in the meantime. She just needs to do it subtly.
If she doesn’t, then there’s a chance that Jaune could get Blake expelled or even arrested for her previous affiliation with the White Fang. And who knows what kind of hook he has on Pyrrha. She wouldn’t put it past him to take others down with him. Weiss doesn’t want that, she’s only starting to build a genuine friendship with her teammate.
Now, if only there’s a chance where she could undermine Jaune Arc without letting him know that she is deliberately sabotaging him.
Her chance comes in Combat Class.
“Jaune Arc vs Weiss Schnee. To the stage please.” Professor Goodwitch announces.
The words catch everyone by surprise. This is the first time Jaune would fight someone not a member of Team CRDL and it is understandably shocking for everyone. To Weiss though, it feels like the Gods are on her side.
Locking eyes with the rake in front of her, she gives him the most fake innocent smile she could give.

Okay, I've given some thought to the weeks long timeskip. While I do understand your point about Blake wanting to investigate and hinder the White Fang's operations, it's worth remembering that the White Fang is suspicious of a traitor amongst their ranks after Blake showed up to the docks. Also, if not for Jaune, the White Fang would have pulled off their biggest dust heist ever. So the best explanation for the canon time skip is that Cinder decided she had enough dust and orders White Fang to begun prepping for their activities at Mountain Glenn, leaving Blake waiting for weeks with nothing to fight against.

Side note: I agree with you that current Jaune isn't really ready to assert his self on their three-way relationship, but we will get there once he gets the confidence. I would actually go so far that Jaune was working normally as a waiter in that expensive gala while he accidentally seduces the Rothschild heiress and bumps unintentionally into a Royal princess that falls for the suspension bridge effect on the way.

Thanks for the feedback! The main issue I'm having now is the timeline. V1 and V2 had a timeskip of weeks in between the two of them. But thats something I'm having trouble with because I dont think it would take weeks before Blake jumps into the thick of things again. What we're having right now is a bit of a down time before ramping things up again. The next few chapters would be dedicated to getting our knight up to par and team rwby's adjustment with their new dynamics. Think of it like a calm before the shitstorm, one day theyre having foodfights and dates then the next thing you know a stolen paladin mows down the freeway. Still we are gonna get to the villains side of things soon just to show that they too are adjusting.

Holy Jesus, you're posting this a day after introducing Thy Rusted Knight to us? Goddamn, I didn't even think there would be yet more character drama to explore amongst Team RWBY, I thought Cinder would have been informed about Jaune and THAT would be that major conflict this volume. Not going to lie, I am far more interested to see how Sun, Penny, and Team Cinder react to the Jaune/Weiss drama. I should point out however, that Cinder's team is going to find out that the Invincible Girl is secretly dating an unassuming Valean named Jaune, and that's going to throw Cinder for a loop. On that note, I need to point that you're not just earning 100$, you managed to get that level of support in the span of two months. And you got all this support with less than 25 chapters of Pineapple Jam posted outside of Patreon. That's a solid testament to your writing quality and update schedule right there. Just watch that $100 leap to several hundred as people start reading Thy Rusted Knight. Additional side note: Pyrrha hinting at another threesome is hot as fuck, though I really hope Blake decides to go with it, becuz Jaune isn't ready to push his luck yet. Even if he is an insanely lucky bastard. If you really think about it, what Jaune has done is equivalent to a regular guy sneaking into an expensive gala and seducing a Rothschild heiress. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the feedback! While I won't spoil anything, I will say that Weiss wont do anything too drastic. Her view here is colored by her disbelief in Jaune and SDC heiress background causing her to be paranoid and delusional. Add to that her pride and not wanting to be wrong just makes her stubbornly believe the worst about Jaune. She'll have her growing pains this arc (pun unintended), that's why I'm focusing on her flaws right now to make her growth more significant. I'm actually trying to angle her flaws in a bit of humerous amd crackish way but still in the middle of learning how to convey that. And yes you are correct neptune will be involved Anyway, hopefully it wont be too long before we see her bloom. Its just that i know the pace is kinda slow but the setting and character thoughts just pull me in and doesnt want me to skip over them. Hope you bear with me on this for awhile

This bullshit with Weiss better not last long cause the urge to reach through the screen and strangle the life out of her is getting stronger with each second, I read her thoughts, and I think Weiss will ruin her relationship with everyone regardless with her accusation hell I'm expecting for Pyrrha to slap her and read the riot act to her, she probably won't believe Jaune is genuine until she's made an outcast by everyone, she needs to learn the hard way apparently that the world doesn't revolve around her. And you know what the funny thing is I can see Jaune of all people being the one to give her a second chance when she tries to make up for everything, of course getting a slap in the face from reality when she gets turned down from Neptune during the dance with Jaune convincing him to talk to her again just like in canon would be sweet as well.
