NOTE: You follow along with your own copy of the movie; I have a little timer right at the beginning where it counts down and shows the word "play" when I myself start playing the movie. I also have a timer synced throughout the movie so you're also in sync the whole time! If you don't have your own copy, then you'll have pretty much no idea what's happening!

Theodore Bikel, who played the tall black haired German, was an Austrian Jewish actor, a veteran of Yiddish Theater. He originate the Broadway role of Captain von Trapp in "The Sound of Music", and for many years, he hosted a radio show on WQXR, a classical music station, during Passover, where he sang and educated us. A lovely man: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btrt9_e5F5w

Oh. Also one of the wonderful things about this relationship is how Charlie actually has great creativity in him, but has never challenged himself until Rosie pushes him to face that quality. And Rosie has never lived, never considered herself as anything other than Brother's plain, workaday handmaid until she becomes basically the captain of the African Queen. Note how they begin to work and think together after the waterfall, the way she approaches the problem and makes space for Charlie to find the solution - compare it to how she ordered him around earlier. And how he begins to enjoy the problem solving and the comprehension of what's within him. This is a great love story and a great partnership.
