=( I could swear I made a pretty long comment the day this was uploaded, but I don't see it anywhere. Don't tell me I forgot to click "Post" -___- Just incase, I'll summarize it; this is the point where the series starts to become amazingly gripping. One reason why episode 10 feels so tense and somehow harder to watch than even some episodes of Hellsing is because this horrifying scenario is happening to two innocent children who we've slowly formed a connection with from the beginning, and the situation with Riko felt so hopeless that I actually almost truly believed that she was done for. Reg had no idea what the best course of action was, so he could only feel helpless and follow Riko's directions. And I must point out, Riko was terrified of dying in that moment, yet her willingness to give up an arm was a testament to how much she was still determined to reach her goal in making it down to the bottom of the Abyss and finally meet her mother. It took serious guts for her to make such a hard request, especially one that's painful, and heartbreaking, since she had to ask someone close to her to do it. Sadly, Reg's hesitation seemed to be her downfall, which made him break down completely in front of her seemingly lifeless body, no doubt blaming himself for everything that's happened =(
