I Remembered that the Soldiers that want to fight at his Side not only ask him because some of them come from Lute Village, it was also because some of the Younger Knights and Wizards are Demi-Humans ( The Other Wizard is a Girl if you look closely, and a Demi Human too) and they are treated like shit even in the own Military ( the Knights Soldiers would use the Demi Humans as Cannon Fooder in the Waves ) so they asked him for joining his Party.
Ah, fair enough, but separating would probably still make more sense from a tactical perspective.

Well, the weapons don't weaken each other, they simply halt each other's growth. They are meant to train and level separately and then work together during the waves.
