I'm going to be honest here. Raping, raging bad-guy goblins/kobolds are so commonly used that I'm honestly sick and tired of them. The option of having them be good guys would be a very welcome fresh breath of air.

I like the idea of the Kobolds being good guys. Perhaps they are just minding their own business, and the quest is from a group of miners who want the cave for themselves- maybe some glorious payback is in order O-O
