This will be a weird one so let's cut to the chase... Also, this will include a bunch of personal stuff, if you don't care about it, just skip to the end.
The last week
Last week I traveled a bit, and it was bittersweet. I went to visit my grandma, and she lives more than a thousand miles away. It's probably the last time I'm gonna see her, and it's only the second time she saw my daughter. As you get old these moments tend to happen more and more. Not to be pessimistic, but when your loved ones start to push 90s you really gotta be prepared for it. So yeah, I was a bit sentimental about it, but it was countered by a whole host of cousins, uncles and aunts that were visiting there at the same time, just like we used to do when I was like, 5 or 6, and now all my cousins are married and have kids and it's our kids playing on the exact same place I have so many found memories of.
So yeah, that's where I've been the last week, just arrived back this Tuesday. It was in a pretty rural area of Brazil, like, grab a flight, drive 4-6 hours. Pretty removed from civilization, God I love that place, and it's sad that once she passes it's not gonna be a place to visit anymore. But such is life, and we had a good run.
I know I sound a bit defeatist right now but it's just the mood I'm in right now. It will get better.
Work has been a nuisance, as always, we got a new project going on, and it requires a lot of man hours just to set up, it's draining but it gets all bills paid so I can't complain too much, it's better to have stuff to than to not...
The game
So... The scene I'm working on, it needs a lot of custom stuff, new characters, custom textures, logo designs (these take a while to make). The start of this scene was pretty fast but then I just got bogged down on the details... But I feel THESE details are the ones that matter, so I'll keep pushing through, slowly getting into the groove again, I wish days had more hours in them.
Sorry about no special renders/pictures today. It's been a rough couple of weeks.

Understandable… It's normal to think like that. You could still visit; it can still create many more beautiful moments/memories for you and the rest of your families. It doesn't have to end there. Maybe your kids will carry it on to the next generations 😁. Work has been a nuisance. But we do it because we have to. I do it so I can support all you lovely, beautiful Devs 😅. I think that you sound more realistic and aware of the cycle of life than defeatist right now, and I don't think that's bad. All in all, I hope you feel better over time. And when it comes to the game and this scene, I'm sure it will be great. Can't wait to see what you are cooking :D
