Spinning Switch Storage - Travel Version
🕑 Added 2024-02-17 18:57:21 +0000 UTCThis spinning switch storage container is super fun, practical, and can now also be used as a travel case. This version has an included lid that can store into the base, so it's out of the way when you don't need it, but is right there to use as the lid when you're traveling.
I also improved the tolerances on this version to make it easier to assemble, made the peg stronger, and improved the magnet distances.
Components you'll need to order.
1. The Magnets: Small Round Magnets (Amazon) (same magnets as all other prints)
You'll need 22 magnets per spinner
2. Bearings: Fidget Spinner Bearings (Amazon)
You need just 1 bearing per spinner
3. Stick on Rubber Base (Optional): 58mm Anti-Slip Silicone (Amazon)
You need just 1 per spinner

Did you double stack your magnets? You need to put two magnets ontop of eachother, it’s not designed to work with only 1. Theres an assembly video you may want to watch!

Have exactly the dimension with magnets and that hole is too big, they fly through and down again out

Gotcha, if you’re having issue with it breaking maybe up it to 20 or 25%. Its surprising how different filaments affect strength

I always follow your suggestions on the post so everything is 15% infill gyroid. So how much would you suggest to increase it to.

What infill type did you use? I have recommendations for strengthening it by using a higher infill percentage and gyroid infil

Also, as I try and make it a little tighter by adding a very small amount of tape it seems to work but it snaps at that bottom of the peg. Any advice on strengthening that as well, please.
where is the lid file its not on there

Yes, the top is also new because it has a thread now

Do I need to reprint the top piece? Obviously I know ima have to print the new bottom and the cover piece
