I've seen flexibile roofing marerial used mostly on temporary structures, I guess its very similar to shingles used on housed in the US and a bit thicker and hard wearing. Still needs replacing long before a slate roof would.

Can you hear me slapping my forehead 3 times? What will be the noisiest? The builders or the Cicada? The could be re-branded as the Cicada Roofing Co.! There is an app on my iPad that measures decibels and noise levels where it creates permanent hearing loss. Siding inspection and replacement? Roof covering overhaul??? 20 year throwaway on a house....... no wonder the inspectors are busy, poles in wrong places twice. Run off gutters, by the “Three Times a Charm” sub contractor. A very sloppy scam. And next door the “Unskilled Maintenance Superintendent” and his team keep plodding along every week, touching up his nest, keeping everyone warm and dry. Atta boy!
