I'm glad you are getting new equipment, but just keep these things in mind: The number '4k' isn't really super important, there are a lot of other factors that need to be considered, sensor size, lens quality, amount of light that goes in, etc. That's why you can have two '4k' cameras that are very differently priced. It also explains the size difference, bigger means more light can usually get to the sensor. It's a complicated thing, and if size is the most important thing, then never mind what I said, it just won't increase the quality that much.

I have a Canon Powershot S120. About 5 year old model. Works beautifully. Give you many choices of video size, etc. ..... But now I do not use it, ....have gone to iPad or iPhone. The newest iPhones shoot amazing video and images. A fabulous camera.
