Just took a look all around it from a bird's-eye view on Google Earth, too. Really awesome. Some quick Googling revealed that the castle opened in 1597. That's 427 years ago. Blows my mind! I was looking at the stonework in the moat from your video. I wonder if the workmen who laid those stones could have had any possible idea that 427 years later, the stones they put down would still be there, that people would still be coming to see their work, and that an entire city would grow up around it. Just mind-boggling.

Before I get to watching the video of this magnificent castle, I have two questions: 1. How's the food in "Japan's kitchen", and; 2. Do they still have that athlete-dude on the neon sign in the city? :-)
