I feel like THAT'S what must've happened to me, though it was strange because I had just woken up and was lying in bed. Freaked me out so much I had to go to the ER to be certain it wasn't a heart attack :(

I had my first panic attack ever (to my knowledge, in 52 years) about a month ago. The strangeness, the comforting oneself, I think you captured well how it felt.

I had one not long ago that was so bad I had my husband call 911 because I thought it was a heart attack. I feel for you. Sending hugs!

The intensity of the colours really struck a nerve for me, that's exactly how it feels when I'm overestimated. Everything gets 10x more intense.
