My favorite comedian depends on what kind of comedy I'm looking for. Clean humor is always Brian Regan or Jim Gaffigan, although Nate Bargatze is a recent favorite after I saw him live last year. If I want some edgier comedy I'll go with Daniel Tosh or Anthony Jeselnik. Demetri Martin or James Acaster for comedic performances that aren't just stand-up. Mitch Hedberg or again Demetri Martin if I want some good one-liners. But my overall favorite comedian of all time is Eddie Izzard.

Difficult to choose a true favourite. Among them is Frankie Boyle, Lee Evans, Al Murray, Sean Lock and Gary Delaney.

My most favorite comedians are dead sadly - Chris Farley, George Carlin. The ones still here are Patton Oswalt, Gabriel Iglesias, Kevin Hart and Matteo Lane.

Lewis is a delight. He reminds me of the Pratchett idea of militant decency. You can be absolutely aprshit mad at the world, but you can take that anger and direct it usefully.

Yeah, I don’t see it. Boomer humor is about how young people are idiots and how your husband/wife sucks. Bleak, cynical garbage. But I’m GenX, so we just spew snark and sarcasm amongst ourselves while Millennials and Boomers attack each other. Have obsessed over Jeff Arcuri for about two years now. He’s gotten really popular recently, but his crowd work remains incredible. Julie Nolke got me through the darker days of Covid (her Explaining the Pandemic to my Past Self series especially), but I don’t watch a lot of her anymore.

I don't see how it's 'boomer humour'. I've always considered that the likes of Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickles. Punch down at any moving target, my friends family and coworkers hate me as much as I hate them. "I've seen mean people. Take my wife. ..... please!"
