So caffeine, a central nervous system stimulant, is not a drug? Where is the Line?

When going on a school trip to Sweden one of the first things the students asked us was if we knew snus, and we thought that was a very odd question until we discovered that most of the student there were consuming it. They said it was for "concentration" so we all found it very stupid to consume litteral drugs when coffee exists

Figured I’d chime in as a currently clean poly addict who’s done all the drugs discussed in this episode. While there are a wide range of long term effects from the harder drugs (heroine, meth, etc) it’s does not ruin your ability to enjoy other things. Turns out just slamming your brain with feel good chemicals gets old if you are just trying to feel good. In my experience those who form long term dependencies feel bad for some reason and drugs allow them to feel good. So despite poor decisions I do get to enjoy existing. For the most part drugs are no more dangerous than nicotine and alcohol, but unfortunately due to wide spread contamination it’s hard to know what you are getting which makes things a lot more dangerous. You shouldn’t do drugs they’re not worth it, but if you do. Dose low you and if you can test your shit.

What are you on about? This was a great episode

I teach in Scandinavia. Within two years, all of my students (14-16 y/o) went from cigarettes to snus, because smoking and vaping on school grounds was made illegal. Snus packets are so much easier to hide, so we now have ~90% snus users instead of ~20% smokers. Fuck tobacco companies.

I vote for dick shaped vapes that taste like poop

Dude

I've gotta say honestly, this was a terrible podcast. Would have loved any discussion of open sauce ... The only thing that was "on point" was William's recognition that paying patrons deserve better.
