I saw the batham tool guy trying to get a hotel room at the garden inn on Friday when I got back after setting up my booth. I chatted with him because I thought I heard him say “apple ii pen plotters” which would have been much more interesting. He said he was sent out like last minute and didn’t have an opensauce ticket or hotel or anything. I was like lol good luck. He left as there were no rooms available.

The buzzing phone on audio lines was super common with GSM signals (GMSK) modulation. GSM is pretty much gone in the wealthier parts of the world.

Like joking aside, despite possibilities I wouldn't immigrate to the USA, or even go for a contract. I have a strict policy of not entering countries that have death penalty xD

Glasgow has "Glasgow Mile" which is actually doing a full circle on the subway line, 15 stops, you get out on each, go to nearest pub, drink a pint, go back to the subway :D

Oh man, I have a group of friends who I used to do a "Golden Mile" with (12 pubs, 12 pints). Legend is that we managed to finish once, but noone remembers it.
