AMA video for April 2024
🕑 Added 2024-04-08 20:34:54 +0000 UTCHey guys, here is the video of me answering your questions and working on a scene in Daz Studio. I'm new to this so I hope it looks and sounds ok. I also talk about rendering and how I do post work. I hope you all enjoy and please leave any feedback or if you have any other questions, I can answer them here in the comments.

Doh! Sorry Adam, I thought I had all the questions in my note. So the question was, will there be different paths where one could lead to Kathryn cheating as she starts to enjoy Luke's fetish. Cheating wouldn't be something Kathryn would really do. It's not in her personality. There may be circumstances later in the game where Kathryn has to keep secrets from Luke and may equate to cheating depending on the player choice. This isn't really a game where there are starkly different paths with drastically different outcomes and that is mainly for practical reasons. Each update would take me forever to do all the renders and coding for that much varied content and from my experience, offering too much usually waters down the content overall. Our Red String pulls it off, but the art style lends to that being possible as entire scenes can be made using pre-existing images. If I had a team of several people working on the game this might be possible, but when it's just me I have to make sacrifices with how much the story can vary. But the answer to the main question of will Kathryn cheat? She won't be a careless, selfish, cheating whore or anything like that, but she will have the opportunity to make some decisions that Luke might not be happy about.

my question never got answered :( but i feel you kinda summed it up with the other questions :P

Thank you, I really appreciate. The early chapters are not my best work, but hopefully you enjoy the overall ride :D

Thanks

Hey I just finished reading Naive Teacher in Winston chapter one. I really enjoyed it. Nice one!

I was actually thinking that you might have used photoshop to layer in the wide shots of big city streets at the opening. Love when creators put the effort in to show sprawling backgrounds. Hardly ever see it because its alot of work and usually just see interior rooms
Bobbyboy Productions
Sure, I could do that. I made chapter one and two with only 8gb of vram. I had to hack the crap out of my scenes to get them to work. Those scenes on the streets of new york, it looks like I have have two or three new york stores and tenaments assets along with a bunch of cars. If I had all this in the scene at the same time if would be like over 20gb. I used a combination of rendering environments individually and then merged them all in gimp. It turned out pretty well and you can't really tell I did that. It looks like it was all in the scene together.
Sprayman
Well I know what's coming for the next tutorial then haha.
Bobbyboy Productions
Yeah, I wasn't using any optimizations, plus I had the entire office environment instanced as well, plus Mister Santini's office attached as well. If I needed to I could have reduced it to about 9GB or so.
Sprayman
VRAMs also the big difference with the 24gb to 16gb. Cant believe that scene was so huge. I guess you use scene optimiser or decimator if it gets too big, with multiple models and environments.

Thanks Sprayman, I actually got a great deal on the 4090 used. It was only a couple months old and came with the receipt, so still has a few years warranty on it. The 4070ti super cards I bought new but found them pretty cheap as well. It's still a lot of money to spend, but going from renders that take 40 minutes and now they take 5 minutes, is a good investment I think.
Sprayman
That was great! Brave to put yourself out there. Whether it be your voice, face or whatever. Loved the daz stuff and the post work. Now where is the 5 hour version lol. Good to see some more of this. Lot of youtubers are sponsored which means they can't talk about certain software or other things, where you are completely unbiased. I figured you would end up getting the 4090
Bobbyboy Productions
Yeah like any creative software, there's a lot to know and it takes time and practice to learn it all. I still probably only know and understand about 30% of what this program can do.
Bobbyboy Productions
Yeah I'll be doing another one for the next update, maybe sooner. I might do them monthly, we'll see.
Bobbyboy Productions
Thanks for watching and thanks for the question!
Bobbyboy Productions
Thanks Spidey and no worries, your question was great.
Bobbyboy Productions
Nice! I'll check it out, and thanks for the compliment and your support!
Spidey96
Thanks for taking the time to answers my crazy questions Iβll try to narrow down the more important ones next time.

Thanks for the AMA video! Great job :D Glad to hear about your inspirations and future plans for the game. Yours is one of the best Patreons I have subscribed to. You give weekly updates, and you frequently interact with your fans. Love it. On a side note, if you are interested, you might want to check out my stories on Lit, Naive Teacher in Winston (I won't link it), as they follow perfectly the themes you said you enjoy. Cheers!

Interesting, I have daz on my home PC, been playing around with it, but I'm still lost π. Definitely not as easy as you make it look. Thanks for the video.
Bobbyboy Productions
Haha, busted.
Rob
Interesting video. Thanks for your sharing your craft. I'm guessing you might be Canadian. I heard a couple "aboots" in there. π

Canβt wait to watch! Wish I would have gotten some questions in prior to the video lol. Hopefully thereβs a next time!
Armaster
wow, love all the effort you put into this. Thanks!
