I don't have too much to report this week. Everything is going smoothly and progress is pretty much on target for where I'd like to be at this point in development. I ran into a small hitch that has slowed me down a bit the past week and that is related to an asset that I committed to using that is a complete resource pig. And because of that, I've been needing to render on my main PC since it's the only one with enough vram to render the scenes. I'll need to be more selective going forward and make sure my scenes can fit into 16gb of vram to prevent this from happening again. I tried using scene optimizations to make things fit, but it really impacted how it looked so I had to run with it. Of course the downside of rendering on my main PC is how much it heats up the room. It gets pretty warm in my main workspace as it is, but when you have a crazy workstation PC running at 100% gpu load for hours on end, it gets pretty toasty. Fortunately after this scene is done I can go back to sending my renders to my render PC which is in another room.
Some things I've been working on other than the usual renders and coding are animations and some quality of life improvements for the game. I intended to implement a couple of animations with the last update but I just couldn't get them looking as good as I'd like. I know what you're saying, anything would look better than the janky animations in the game currently, and I agree, but I want to get a good reliable consistent workflow going before I really jump into making the animations as to not waste too much time. I have purchased a nice pack of adult animations that I have been messing around with and several of them are going to fit in nice for some of the past scenes and several will be great for some future scenes. Another thing I was going to implement was the option to rename Luke and Kathryn. One of my helpful patrons had given me a modified script with the coding all in place to accomplish this, but unfortunately I didn't have time to get this in for chapter five since there would be several renders to redo, such as phone screens with the character names, etc. I'll try to get this done for this chapter though.
I know I keep saying this, but I will post a few polls this week. I've been so focused on renders that the days just get away from me. I'm going to spend the rest of this week working some patreon posts as well as commissions for my GOAT members.

Have you thought about getting a separate AC unit for cooling your room? I got a black and decker portable for my office (low profile, not like one of those older ugly window units) and it works great for me during the summer time or when Iâm gaming/rendering

That's actually not a bad idea. And as far as that goes Bobby, it's not like you'd be forcing anything on anyone. If they decided they wanted to get an asset or hardware or whatever, it would be on them. Hell you could even set it up as a contribution type thing, like, "Contribute $25 towards the purchase of a new piece of hardware" or something along those lines. Or "If you would like to see this outfit on Katherine, have at it." Maybe set it up so that if someone does it, then they get a mention in credits for that particular season or something. Really, the more I think about it, there's lots of ways you could implement something like that, and if someone felt so inclined, then they could pitch in.

Huh, I didnât know that existed. I guess it makes sense for the camgirls so fans can buy outfits and stuff. I feel humble enough as it is having people pay for patreon subs. I donât think Iâd have it in me to ask for gifts on top of that đ

OF creators use Throne for their members to help buy them toys and clothes. I have always wondered why independent game developers havenât done the same for things that fans of their games can do the same, just instead of a vibrating egg, they buy you hardware, 3d assets, etc⊠unless of coarse you want the egg to help pacify the wife
