Dev log - June 06, 2024

I'm a little late on this one so I apologize for that. Before I get into info about the development of the game I just want to explain some personal things in my life that have affected production recently. You can skip to the next paragraph if you're not interested in my personal life. My Mother is sick in the hospital. She got quite ill from a blood infection and we had to call an ambulance because she was delirious from the infection and resulting fever. Turns out, we got her there just in time apparently and she likely would have died if she just went to bed that night. Anyway, she's doing better after being on antibiotics and other medications for the past two weeks. When she'll be going home is unknown at this point as she still has various issues with her heart and infection in her body. The reason I'm explaining all this is because it has affected my ability to work on the game as much as I normally would have. I have been going to the hospital pretty much every day as there's only a few members of my family that are able to be there for her. The doctors are hopeful and she seems pretty much back to normal as far as I can tell so fingers crossed this will all be behind us soon. I still don't think this will delay the game too much if at all, but I guess we'll see. I'll update you guys in a week or so to see how we are doing for a release expectation.
When I have been working on the game, I have been getting a good amount of work done. I'd say I'm about 80% done with renders and 70% of the coding. I have also been learning some new skills that I hope will enable me to improve the quality of the renders in the future. Things like god rays, improved shadows and lighting and of course the ever elusive animations that I know many of you will be happy to see in the game. I have a few more polls that I will conduct over the course of the next week or so as well to get more insight into what you guys like and don't like. The results of the last two polls were very interesting. Looks like old Albert was the most popular choice for characters that you would like to see more of in the game. Albert is an important part of the story, especially in the second half of the game so he'll be in more scenes later on. I hadn't planned on him being in many sexual scenes though as I have only planned for one more so far, but based on his dominance in that poll, I have been thinking of more scenarios where he could be involved. I know the old man kink is very subjective so I'm going to be careful with how I utilize him in the game going forward.
Another aspect of the story that I have seen a lot of discussion about on the forums is the relationship between Luke and Kathryn. Some people want Kathryn to cheat on Luke or have the option at least. I would love to make a game where there could be many vastly differing paths where I could create all these different dynamics, but unfortunately that isn't possible, not without some seriously long development time. I think the dynamic between Luke and Kathryn so far is where the game shines overall. Some of the choices Luke can make will have some serious consequences in the second half of the game and can open the door for some bolder choice options for Kathryn. Just don't expect a wildly different overall story, but the scenes will vary and some exclusive scenes are planned based on the choices made throughout the game. Currently there hasn't been a lot of variation to the overall story as the first half sets things up for the second half of the game. Chapter five will present several choices that will have consequences later on. A lot of people also had some concerns about getting blue balled in the last chapter. I can relate to this as I have played AVNs in the past that gave me the same feeling. The problem is the episodic design of these games when you play them one chapter at a time instead of having all of them available at once. I can say that chapter five will present some choices that should please players that were disappointed with chapter four's lack of release, so to speak.
Some other things I'm working on or plan to work on are a website for Bobbyboy Productions, an Instagram account for Kathryn so you guys can follow her and see her posts and even interact with her character. I'm looking forward to this and I have some fun ideas that will connect her insta with the game in a way that will provide some small ongoing story elements between chapters. So look out for that to start this summer.

Exactly, wasn't sure you wanted to state that yet. So didn't want to put it out there like that. He does seem the only one that doesn't act like a perv or force himself on women. Which im sure is designed for a reason. There should be some way around where he can be apart of those scenes. Maybe Kath or someone else can use him as a confidence builder. Make them more comfortable and confident sexually, by teasing him or some accidental incidents? Instead of him being the instigator.

I've always thought Albert has a very specific role to play. In regards to Kathryn and Luke storywise. Which might affect his character arc if used in another way. Maybe he could have scenes with other females too? Albert is a lot of man for any woman lol.

Glad to hear things are improving. People will probably expect winners of the poll to have a significant impact on scenes, maybe set expectations before. Are you still wanting to stick with 12 chapters for the game?

Sorry to hear about your Mother, depending on her age, health etc don't be surprised if her recovery isn't months rather than weeks, it all takes longer as we get older. Wishing her the best. I wouldn't sweat the paths issue too much. The difference between Hotwife, ntr, cuck etc isn't that great. I'm super happy with the way things are, but I'm not going to bail over a small switch either. Avoiding that too complex pathing is far more important. The low action disappointment is understandable, but it's a consequence of setting the scene, I know the result will be worth the wait. Any chance of a replay gallery? Apart from being good for obvious reasons, it also helps players check to see if they missed a scene. Achievements do a good job in the same way.
