This is a fictional revamp of the beautiful circuit in Welkom, South Africa, used at the beginning of this millennium for MotoGP racing.
The new Grade-1 layout will combine part of the original track and of the overarching oval, making it one of the few mixed F1 tracks in history, suitable for multiple categories.
The banked part will also be a great opportunity for wheel-to-wheel action and overtaking, previously challenging on the former layout.
It combines long sweeping corners, tight chicanes and a tri-oval so it suits all tastes.

I'm not sure to be honest! I just didn't know anything close to an American-style oval existed in Africa, and got excited when I found out! There's a mod out there of the oval circuit already, and it looks accurate from satellite info. But it's too narrow and there are some insta-death cut outs in the walls for oval racing. Which is puzzling why they did that. So if I was making an oval, in the same style you do with taking much less developed real life tracks and imagining them to FIA spec; I'd try to bring it up to an oval standard for IndyCar or NASCAR. No sudden cuts in the walls, a designated apron lane for slow cars and pit entrance/exit. A wall that goes along the outside of the track. As far as how that fits this mod, and what you'd need to remove or change assets wise or something, I'm not sure! All the pavement is there in the right spot, it's just a matter of it being a multi-use facility. Kind of like Daytona and Indy, where different parts of the track are blocked off in a safe way? Idk if this rambling helped. And idk if the oval circuit is on your to-do list. Like I said, I just got excited seeing an oval in Africa!

To make this version of the circuit what was the pit lane etc. Of the oval had to be removed. Would you like to see the original and actual oval circuit, without the rest of the track?
