Very true Frank. Authorities like to call situations like that "isolated incidents" inferring it was a freak situation not prone to repeating. Wrong.

Here in the US at one time we would check on neighbors to see if they were OK but now you could get shot doing it a sad case.

Probably because of my age, my thoughts also go to the elderly, many probably alone without family members, vulnerable with different circumstances but the same risk. I don't believe any culture's practices, history, or perceived value is above common human sense.
