(Noise Diary) Uboa - Seismic Blasting
🕑 Added 2023-12-28 10:03:25 +0000 UTCI said I'd not do any more posts this year but heres a belated christmas miracle (or misfortune) for y'all - another noise diary track. Quickly recorded while practicing/testing my live setup. It's pretty similar to Diaphragmatic Breathing - it's harsh noise. It's basically improvisation over mic feedback, which is the main resonant frequency (I'll probably limit it a bit if I ever release this). Merry christmas. About the title: please don't drop bombs near whales.

This one is ableton, specifically recording from the master track in the session mode. Basically I play loops, noise, vocals etc directly into the laptop live while recording the output from the master track. Sometimes I’ll add overdubs, but there is only minor editing (removing unnecessary parts, like some silence at the beginning and unwanted samples at the end) here. All eq’ing, compression etc are processed live. Tbh the only thing I might overdub here is some additional drone layers to go with the feedback, and a multiband compressor to control the resonant mic feedback at the beginning of the song a little. Basically the equipment used here *is* my live setup as mentioned on my recent post (plus my new Gen Thalz HNW machine). It’s a live recording from my home studio - all the noise diary songs are - done while preparing for yesterday’s gig.
