I visited the Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama & stopped at the ice cream kiosk before heading back to the train station. It wasn't until I was seated on the train that I realised I had left my prized cigarette case on the bench behind the kiosk. Went back to retrieve it & was sitting exactly where I had left it. Wasn't much of a surprise, but it reinforced the good feelings I had of Japanese society.
