Yes, lots of excellent reasons to live here, Brian. The honesty (in cases like this - not in other cases) and the lack of crime are good reasons, for sure.

I simply cannot wrap my head around this. The culture that produces this level of respect for the property of others... Well, despite how difficult some other aspects of the culture can be, they are definitely doing this part of it right. You've shown us a LOT on the subject -honesty tests, and returned wallets, and low crime rates, etc. Way in the beginning you told us you moved to Japan because you like the way they do things, and that this was the society for you. Yep. I can see why.
