🕑 Added 2020-06-04 05:32:30 +0000 UTCIt's unveiled. First Contact - Total War. A 5-way (soon to be 6 way) brawl across the Orion-Cygnus Galactic Spur. Trillions of lives hang in the balance, entire cultures teeter on the brink of extinction, and entire species are on the edge of extinction.
I updated the Wiki on Reddit under my name. I'll be updating the Gestalt Wiki, mainly the species appearance.
A big thought here is just what are we looking at? We're looking at a possible fatal case of Victory Disease, over-extending, and a situation where our heroes have to do everything right each time but the antagonist only has to get it right once. It's a race against time.
Additionally, as we've seen, the Lanaktallan have no culture at anyone below the high ranking Most Highs, what culture we have seen is little more than cruelty and sadism. That makes them susceptible to memetic warfare and propaganda as well as cultural warfare.
The Lanaktallan have a society that could be messed up by 9gag, and they're going to war with the only civilization in the galaxy that has honed computer warfare, meme warfare, and VR into a lifestyle.
It promises to be a wild ride.
We'll see where it leads.

The trenchcoat and hat hid most of the warsteel, but couldn't hide the limp. He stood at the edge of the pond, holding something tiny in his hand. A podling had wandered off from his broodcarrier and sniffed the air anxiously, wondering why the man smelled like metal. As the podling watched in awe, the man took the little object in his hand and threw it across the surface of the water, watching it skip 7 times before sinking. The podling eagerly picked up a nearby rock, and tried to replicate the feat, getting 3 skips before the small rock fell in. The male held up another rock in his hand, tilting it a little, and snapping his wrist as example, then sent the rock skipping 10 times! The podling tried again, getting 6 skips, and jumping up and down before scurrying off to find it's fellow podlings and share their newfound knowledge. The male sighed softly to himself, and walked back towards the barracks. WORKER VUXTEN IS FINED 1 DAYS PAY FOR PARTICIPATION IN AN UNSANCTIONED COMPETITION
