🕑 Added 2021-03-31 02:35:59 +0000 UTCI have covers being made, and am now deciding what order to do for the books. Here's the thing, I'm going to release the first 120K words of the First Contact Storyline, and I want an opinion.
I know it needs some grammar and spelling and missed word editing, BUT...
Should I add clarifications, some of which are only in the comments? This will change the work somewhat, and I don't want those who have supported me all this time to feel left out. We're not talking adding 10K words, we're talking doing a slight detail on how the species look, or how an important person looks.
Another thing is, I plan on correcting some things that were made obsolete or non-canon in later chapters (Like the Novastar VII power armor being used at Telkan. If it was I need to explain how and why) and I kind of want your opinion in the comments.

I rather appreciate the paid version having a bit more polish in both the grammar and little extra bits added here and there to make it read better or remind readers who a character we haven’t seen for 100 chapters looks like and so forth.

I'm with Greg and Jason on this. Your work is amazing but I read the comments because they add to the richness of your verse. Could I suggest doing the comment edits and add-ons in the style of researchers discussing the chapter yrs later. That way you can keep the main story as is with just edits and minor corrections for story flow and not lose the added and expanded materials of the comments.
Personally, I'm a big fan of footnotes. Adding them in and fleshing out bits of the stories would be awesome.
