Second Book Out
🕑 Added 2021-10-24 08:42:18 +0000 UTCHey, everyone. You've all probably seen by now that the second book is out. Looks like everyone was really looking forward to it. The cover is the artist's inspiration for what "Pleasure & Glory", which was Ullmo'ok's warmek, looked like.
Right now, I should get book three back from my editor next week, which means I'll go over with a comparison to see what was changed. I had to change editors when they wouldn't get that Warmek and Mekanek and Warboi weren't misspellings. So, hopefully the new one will work out well.
Book Three's cover *might* be Vuxten at the lake. The title, right now, is "The Pool is Reserved for Podlings".
After the release of Book 4, which I'm hoping for late November, will be the release of "The Telkan Wars", which will be the first two battles of Telkan for our Vuxten, so people don't have to go through 3 books to read it all.
In other news, my daughter has been busy putting up a merch store on Redbubble. Right now it's mostly "Peeper-Centric" because it's mostly the little lizards. She plans on putting more up, but she draws kind of slow and in a cartoony style.
In current story news: We've got Steamboat Willy and the Black Fleet attacking the Atrekna's new strategy as the tip of the spear. We've got the band together for the assault on Heaven to save God. The war against the Atrekna is well underway, and let's not forget that the Earthlings are out there. Cold blooded, hyper-violent, xenophobic Earthlings.
Then there's the "Big Secret" that Brentili'ik is slowly closing in on, what's going on with the Telkan and Leebaw Gestalts as they travel through the strange and forgotten sections of the SUDS, as well as a few other surprises.
In good news: I feel like I'm coming out the other side. I got more closure from "I leave my oldest son nothing" than I ever thought I could.
My wife and kids are delighted with how much you guys are enjoying the books being put out. Yeah, they're adults, but they take joy in the fact that I'm writing stuff that people love and I'm bringing happiness to people.

After having done some of this, how could an editor still insist the in 'verse terms are "wrong"? If they though science fiction was bad, what would a technical document do to them? A professional would just note that in the glossary for this project.

This had me in giggles, i can just imagine you getting back the edited version, looking through it and seeing "warmech" and "warboy" with a very disappointed face and that devastating slow shake of the head.

Heya Ralts, do you get more money from a particular physical format? I can never decide which I prefer (I got both for the first book 😅). The kindle's free for me so I figure more copies is more betterer :P
