Lots of cats around here, Brian, so that theory was discussed.. cam to the same conclusion as you.. would not have left it behind (also, no teeth marks). The unskilled groundskeeper is a bit finicky and pedantic about tidiness.. almost an illness, it is! :-D

Maybe a cat brought it along? Sort of begs the question as to where the cat may have gotten it, then, and why he'd leave a prize like that behind. (That aside, just wanted to note that the area around the sheds is remarkably well kept! Not a stray blade of grass to be found, nor any debris. Well done. The unskilled groundskeeper is certainly worth keeping around.)
