Ahh, very nice scenery! Those pines feel familiar, since we got loads of those inhabiting our forests. You really should do more of these! The more we see of Japan, the better. You could think that a car trip is essentially the same, but it's not. On a bicycle, you get to explore places you couldn't with a vehicle like a car, and you also receive the ambience of the place. Audio can build significant atmosphere! Not to say the driving videos are worse - they have their own benefits. I really enjoy the videoessays! If I were you, I would take what I mentioned into account, and deliberately go to places with a bike where one usually wouldn't go to. It doesn't really matter if you've gone there already or not. What matters is the scenery, the old guy's information tidbits and the general atmosphere. It is a brilliant videoformat that you have discovered - very interesting! Didn't see much of driftwood in this one though - maybe in the next bike ride? :)

All mysteries, Sylvia. Makes you wonder, doesn't it.

Driftwood! :) Really nice. Thank you! A thought about the road: maybe for some kami to come or ancestors to leave after obon? Or some beach loving elite in the past... or the other way around: fresh sea food lovers? How old may the pine trees be?
