Indeed, David!

I would be less concerned about the appearance and more concerned about the integrity of the workmanship overall. If it's all just lazily run about, how well is it going to hold up under the abuse of the elements?

It drives me crazy every day, Brian. I shake my head: "dear oh dear".

Good God... This is the standard!? What would possibly account for this poor level of craftsmanship? This seems in complete contrast to the attention to detail, diligence, and outstanding customer service we're used to seeing in other sectors. No attempt to follow contours, or at least even run it alongside the black drain pipe in an effort to minimize the ugly appearance? "Slapdash" doesn't even begin to describe this job. (Someone call an Unskilled Labourer!)
