The Shadow Stalkers track some scaly prey in this new battle report from our friends at Haunts Wargaming. See the Shadow Stalkers in action against the Saurians. Will the lizards be able to protect their magic items or will they be swallowed in the shadows?

At the top of the post, you'll find concept art previews of some of our models releasing in October.
October is when the nightmares arrive for the Shadow Stalkers. The Reapers are deadly weapon masters with halberds or great weapons, using their skill to challenge foes much larger than themselves and come out on top. The Reaper Champion further adds to the Reaper skill set to make them even more deadly or terrifyingly swift, causing even more nightmares for the monsters of Tyria. The Reaper on Flying Beast then is a menace to all things that thought they might be able to escape the wrath of the Reapers, flying in over the battle to locate and descend upon their prey. The Fiends are what happens when folklore becomes reality; vicious large mouthed beasts with tentacle like appendages lashing out from their backs like the kind of monsters you hear in horror stories. The Great Fiend is larger and much more deadly, stalking unseen through the shadows until they grab hold with their tendrils to make sure their enemies can't fight back.
In October we also see the first release of the Human Defense Force. The Company Leader will be the first hero that will be giving the orders to his troops. As the battlefield tacticians, they'll be responsible for overseeing the will of the Human Alliance in the systems though a large arsenal of options and specialized training. The Enforcer is the general that wont take to cowardice among his ranks, using any means necessary to keep his troops engaged in the combat. The Infantry are the backbone of the armies of the Human Alliance, coming from all walks of life in the Sirius sector, laying down their lives to protect planets and colonies from threats. The APC is the backbone of the army to deliver troops to where they need to be as speed and quick strikes are a favored tactic used by the HDF. Weapon Teams are another staple of the defense force's tactics. Using heavy firepower to remove threats before they can cause too much damage to the rest of the force, protecting from afar with superior weaponry.
The Legendary for October is the Shadow Stalkers Ascended Fiend. This eldritch monstrosity is a horrifying example of what the darkness of the labyrinth could have unleashed upon Tyria had the gateway remained open. Despite its size, it's the kind of nightmare that can only see in the corners of eyes before it appears. With its gripping tendrils there's no way to fight back, and nowhere to flee from its razor sharp talons.

Kickstarter is a good comparison. You can pick a Tier you'd like to support at and get everything for that Tier as well as optional addons. The major difference will be that you'll get the STL's immediately upon purchase instead of waiting until the campaign ends. They'll show up in your MMF library right away.

So I havnt done a frontier before. is it basically a kickstarter? Or like another monthly cost event?

There will be at least three tiers. The first will be for those who already have the armies and will include the campaign and hero models. The other two tiers will be for those looking to get started with the participating factions or get the complete participating factions while also including the first tier.

All campaigns to date have included EVERY model for all factions in the last tier of pledges. Usually with a discount a bit better than 70%. You can also usually get individual factions via addons, if you don't want all of them.

HDF looks perfect in scale and style🔥 Please add more little details and textures to the surfaces. I felt like this was missing a bit on dwarfs and elves.

It looks like you do get the armies. Probably a playable force for each side, rather than every model. Even so, that's a nice starter.

So am I reading it right. Edge of Radiance will include a full Eternal Dynasty and hive army with the campaign cost? Or is it just the narrative campaign?

It was square but unfortunately there was no margins, so when we went to add your name to the image, it would have covered almost all of the painted minis, so I scaled it up just so that some of the painted minis could be seen. When cropping your pictures just make sure there's a bit of room at the bottom for your name because we have to add it to all of the entries.

I really look forward to HDF but behind of that tank bugs me. Modern tanks has the shapes that they have to decrease impact or even deflect shots completely but that HDF with the raised behind, not covering the tracks properly look like my female cats during mating season...

Are you sure it was square? The photo I see now is perfectly square (1000 x 1000 pixels), so if they cut something off it wasn't square before. If you submit anything other than a square, they will cut it as they see fit.

Question for one page rules: I submitted my paon5ing contestbphoto square but the one you guys just uploaded cuts off the entire bottom section of my picture, loosing almost half of my paint job. What happened? Can this be fixed?

Question about the HDF in October. Will they be getting an updated army roster or will the army roster continue to be an Imperial Guard proxy? I remember from a dev hangout you'd said they would be focusing more on robots and combat walkers (like titanfall)

Oh! Also! I think the concepts for the weapons teams are the best I've seen yet! I love how the two guys are basically two man carrying the laser cannon and the backpack belt fed mini gun style machine gun is just beautiful!

PLEASE! PLEASE keep the HDF as close as possible to these images! They'll be the absolute best "guardsman style" minis anywhere!!! To add to this, the abramsX / futuristic mbt design is so perfect, and I LOVE the idea of a geometric barrel!! And with the troops, I adore how they are leaning towards a titan fall pilot aesthetic! I would LOVE to see some of the walkers be remeniscent of the actual titans from Titan fall as well! Honestly I think it would be a perfect opportunity to make tank and other vehicle variants that are actually piloted walkers to go along with the other more traditional vehicles!!!!! Ps the shoulder armour being shown is perfect, I love it!

HDF looks amazing overall, but that APC. THAT is what I wish the Eternal Dynasty tanks looked like. Something closer to the Type-90/Type-10 would be way more appealing to me and far less cartoonish. I hate that they look like rubber duckies and the three headed dragon meme rolled into one.
