I agree. Because I think that the Rus' Principalities, and Grand Prince of Kiev, would become official tributaries—because the Rus' states were more like unofficial Eastern Roman tributaries. So, similar to Russia under the Golden Horde, each Prince would pay tribute to the Grand Prince, who would then skim some gold off the top and give the rest as tribute to the Basileus.
