I remember another YT creator posted a video about importing configs to ease migrations to a new machine or a new OS rather than reconfiguring each machine or OS. I reckon this would vary greatly on the host OS and other stuff I don't understand but its an interesting concept. When you're hopping around various OS, how do you not go insane? Do you import configs or customize each machine? I may be failing the english language in my line of questioning but I can't apologize.
