Been there, did that, in the first few years before I knew the first thing about fixing a problem, no matter how small. I think it's all in the natural course of things, eventually one gets to the point where you know what you want, you know what you need, and knows a fair bit about how to solve issues. The realisation will certainly hit that no matter how many times you hop, you're still stuck on one of the 5 base distros, depending on how you define them, and then they're all pretty much the same, with the same issues that sooner or later will crop up. Better then to try to learn one of them as best you can, and then one is all set. Having said all that, I still install the odd distro in a VM, but that's more to do with boredom rather than need. :-D Thanks for the great pod, as always! /Dennis
