I Wasn't Wrong About Wayland

I can definitely understand the frustrations. One of my HUGEST issues with Wayland was the fact that kb/m sharing just does not work (at least, in the way I use it) I know waynergy exists, but it's a client and I share my kb/m from linux to a windows client, so I can no longer do that on Wayland (solved it with a usb switcher, but it's slower than barrier/synergy was...) I'd say the switch was overall worth it though, as I really love Hyprland. Coming from only using traditional DEs (Mostly cinnamon/xfce, but I dabbled with some WMs like berry and 2bwm) my productivity has definitely gone up. Plus I just enjoy learning new stuff! As far as stuff like having to configure environmental variables goes, I have that all set up in my wrapper script for Hyprland - you're having to change QT_QPA_PLATFORM yes? That one is definitely a pain, as i've had to change that for multiple programs to get it to work (along with setting others, but most is just a 1-time affair in the wrapper) Although to be fair, it doesn't bother me much, as i'm already running on a very obscure distro (Source Mage) and am used to a great amount of tinkering already :) But hey, Wayland is definitely not for everyone! There are still some problems that I have yet to solve that is limiting what I can do (I cannot for the life of me get VR working, even though it should work fine with wayland, no clue how to fix that...) I am a bit worried on the future of X though... I love having Wayland, but it's nice to have something else to fall back to.
