According to the G translate of ATEEZ press: The title song is a song about strong will. It contains the message, 'Let's decide for ourselves what to believe without being swayed by what people around us say.' I think before the next comeback, even those of us who've practically memorized the Diary Film are gonna have to rewatch it to spot all the stuff.

I agree. Besides the tie into the lore, it does have a powerful message. It is ok to say I’m not okay. It is okay to shout, scream, roar at the top of your lungs until someone hears you. You don’t have to go through it alone.

Lore-wise, Not Okay connects directly back to Inception and the Diary. IRL, the message of the visuals is definitely about the evils of media/technology addiction. To me, the lyrics about acknowledging that we are all not okay, and that's okay. Do what you have to, make noise, ask for help, and don't stop. This song means a lot to me personally as I've been dealing with severe anxiety. And only got help a few months ago. Acknowledging that I was not okay was the hardest step.
