The Golden Witch

I am very sorry. There is a lot of information in the Befriending the Internet videos, though I understand that those are very long and people have been looking for a more compartmentalized and comprehensive explanation. I have been struggling to construct such a thing, but I will be attempting to do so on my channel today.

I mean this with the best of intentions when I ask this.... Until the rant requests have been fulfilled, what exactly are we, as members of your Patreon, paying for here? I'm all for supporting you as a content creator, and $10/$5 a month isn't an unjustifiable amount of money, but I'd be lying if I said I felt excited about the value proposition I get out of my monthly patronage. For all the pretense this post has, I've found it exceedingly difficult to get a sense of transparency when it comes to the direction of this channel. Digi-Nee At Night hasn't had a new upload in well over a month. I'm not sure what happened to the Discord either, or how to get an invitation to it. And with the /r/Digibro subreddit, I ONLY found out about your gender transition from that subreddit, and yet it's been made private. The one place I could count on for discussion and news about this channel, and it's been axed without reason. Point being, it's frustrating to see this channel in such an uncertain state, where there is little communication about the broader future of this place and where it's nearly impossible for me to find a place to discuss my concerns with other fans (YouTube comments don't count), when I know for a fact that things could be so, so much better. All I'm asking for, and I think I speak for many fans here, is a consistent upload schedule and a regular flow of communication toward the fans about your vision for Digi-Nee's future. Re-open the subreddit so we can at least have a place of open discourse. I hope I'm not asking for too much here, because this is the *bare minimum* when it comes to the job of a YouTuber. Content-dumping onto the 2nd channel and then afk-ing for weeks on end is quite frankly disappointing. I hate to bring them up, but look at channels like The Anime Man, Gigguk, even Mother's Basement. For being "normie" anitubers, you have to admit that they've all been consistent with their respective visions and upload schedules for years now, and given how great I've seen your channel capable of being, there is no reason I shouldn't hold you to the same standard. By no means am I asking you to tailor your content to have broader, mass-market appeal more so than you're comfortable with. I'm just asking for consistency with the content and better communication so we can have faith in what you do. In short, and I'm sorry for being harsh, do your damn job. I'd be more sympathetic if you communicated your difficulties to us, but as we've established, communication hasn't exactly been great. Apologies like this are nice and all, but they can only tide us over for so long before we start wondering what we're getting yet again. How is this functionally any different from where we were last month? I'll continue to support this Patreon for as long as I can, but even I have to admit that this was not the same pledge that I signed up for from the beginning.
